5 out of 5 eggsPowers Everything

Pros: Powers everything. I do like the long cord so you can place this anywhere you want.

Cons: None so far. Outlets are a little close together as others have mentioned and this thing is huge.

Other Thoughts: Is a solid surge protector.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Well, it's a surge protector and thus far is working fine. It's nice to see a surge protector with an 8 foot cord. Most come with useless 2-4 foot cords.

Cons: A bit pricey.

Other Thoughts: You cannot beat Newegg's shipping - Very fast! Thanks Newegg. You never let me down with shipping.

Was sweet to get rid of 3 4-outlet strips and use only one. Really cleaned things up.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: -Plenty of outlets
-No drop in power supply when completely used
-Tried and tested protection from power surges
-Convenient mounting holes
-Swivel outlets keep cables neat

Cons: -Swivel outlets should be flipped for bigger plugs
-Push button power switch easy to bump into
-Outlets close together

Other Thoughts: If it is wall mounted and you use bigger plugs on the swivel outlets they will work themselves out of the outlet.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Great item and I have had no problems with it.

Cons: Cable management bar is fine, I knew it would be plastic but it works for the amount of cables I use.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but with a main flaw

Pros: The pivot plug is a nice concept, and it does allow you to accommodate more of the power blocks from various chargers. You could imagine that most people would use it as an extension to charge all the other accessories. (In that regard, the protector itself could be too big and heavy to place on a desk.)

Cons: There are two LED lights next to the on-off switch. One is in red for Ground, and the other is green for protection indicator. I had the problem with the red light. In most devices, red LED would indicate something wrong. For example, a faulty ground in a APC UPC unit would indicate that the grounding is problematic and it would interfere with the protection the unit provides. This unit shows the red LED for good grounding. That is really disturbing.

I had this unit from another online store, and I thought the device is faulty and I had to exchange it. Turns out the replacement still shows the red LED. Then I realize that the lit red LED means good grounding. That is very counter-intuitive. The manufacturer really should change the color of this LED to either green (or blue or anything other than red or amber) to make sure users won't misconstrue the meaning of the light.

Other Thoughts: I wish that the plugs have more spacing so it could accommodate more chargers. In my case, I still have a few plugs open, but there simply isn't much room left. Pivoting isn't going to help.

Also, I never used the co-axial and phone lines. These add additional cost of the unit, whereas they are not really that useful now that many are cutting the cords from phone and cable companies. I wouldn't mind getting a few bucks back when the Belkin drops these features.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: Pivoting connectors really help to maximize usefulness. All the devices that usually take up multiple slots with their bricks now can be rotated so that they don't block the other connectors. Has the feeling of being solidly built.

Cons: It's big, bulky and can be awkward, but I think that is mostly unavoidable with all those power cables. When you pivot some power bricks the power supply won't lay flat anymore, instead they will lay on the brick which makes handling the strip awkward at times. It's usually priced a little high, but sometimes that's worth it for quality.

Other Thoughts: I own three and for me they are the best option in areas where I have a lot of electronics. Haven't had a surge blow one up yet :)
