Pros: It works great, and allowed me to back up someone's data from their dead laptop. I also get to keep the 80GB drive for my own use now.
Cons: There is one extra pin on the adapter, which on hard drives is intentionally missing.
Other Thoughts: It's easy to remove the extra pin -- just bend it back and forth until it snaps off. (Be careful to get the correct pin though!)

Pros: Used to transfer data from laptop WD drive to Desktop drive.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: If you have to bend a pin to get this to work, you are a noob. Use a 40pin ide cable instead of an 80 pin. Geez!

Pros: It was cheap, but...
Cons: You get what you pay for. It set on fire on first use, melted itself, and ruined my compactflash to IDE 2.5 adapter, and my $100 compactflash card (8gb 266x).
