If you look under Specifications for this product on the Newegg site, you will see that it is UL approved. I have had this product for a couple of months and it works well.

are these good for small xmas lights outside?

The Fellowes 99000 Power Strip does not have surge protection and some users found the plug orientation to be inconvenient. It is more suited for indoor use and continuous operation, but it may not be ideal for outdoor use with Christmas lights due to the lack of surge protection.

The specs show input voltage of 110-240v, but I can't find confirmation of that on the manufacturers website. Has anyone tested if it works on 220/240v?
