5 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: works surprisingly well for its length. (that's what she said). operates a wired keyboard and a usb thumb drive at usb 2.0 speeds without issue (attached with a hub).

Cons: when I add in my wireless mouse it cuts out whenever I press too many keys on the keyboard, if i'm moving the mouse and hitting all the keys at the same time.

Other Thoughts: strange, that it struggles with a keyboard and mouse, but transfers data to a thumb drive without issue. I'm not really gonna complain much about that though. this cable's length ignores logic.

UPDATE: well I've been using this for a while now, and i'm happy with it. Since writing my initial review I have come to learn that this cable will work with anything except most devices with wireless receivers. according to the manufacturer, wireless receivers poll far too often, and due to the length of the cable, they'll poll multiple times before the first poll even makes it to the system, causing it to error/cut out. I have a powered 4 port hub at the end of this cable, and I can power my wired keyboard, a usb microphone, a thumb drive, and a USB midi synth all at the exact same time, without any issues. I purchased a second one of these cables and it operates my wireless usb mouse all by itself with nothing else on the same line.

2 out of 5 eggsSABRENT CB-USBXT 32 ft. Transparent USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable Type A Male to Type A Female

Pros: Bought 2 and they both worked at first...

Cons: Bought 2 and 1 failed....

Other Thoughts: Bought 2 of these to extend secondary USB Keyboard and Mouse out to my living room so I could Game on my 60" Sony HD BL LED TV (connected via HDMI). Both of these USB cables worked flawlessly for a couple months. Then I got busy with the purchase of a secondary home and never had time over the coarse of the next year to Game at all. Tried them for the first time in ~1.5 yrs and one still works flawlessly; the other connects and then immediately disconnects. After purchasing newer USB 3.0 Cables and replacing these older ones I noticed that the metal shielding inside the clear plastic exterior of the failed cable had literally turned BLACK. Yes, BLACK!!! I inspected the length of the cable and found no pinched or damaged areas, and both cables followed the exact same path out to my living room couch.. So I can only conclude that the one that failed would have failed over time even if I never used it. The USB 3.0 replacements I purchased were; "Cable Matters SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Type A Male to Female Active Extension Cable 10 Meters/32.8 Feet" and I highly recommend them over SABRENT Cables...

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work at all

Pros: It isn't covered in thorns?

Cons: Would not even connect a keyboard

Other Thoughts: Tried it on USB 2.0 ports as well as a powered USB 3.0 card. Does not work at all

5 out of 5 eggsGood price Good product

Pros: It works great. if you charge your phone on it it might take a few extra hours and your phone will lose battery faster. do not connect to gaming keyboards; mice; joystick; pad ect. it's a long cable and with any long cable there is a voltage drop resulting in lag and insufficient power for certain equipment. it works fine with keyboards; mice and headphones!

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsDon't expect much from this

Pros: No pros

Cons: Didn't work on any of the high speed USB 2.0 devices we tested it with.

Other Thoughts: We fabricate USB 2.0 devices. We looked at this cable to see if it would work with a number of conforming USB 2.0 devices. It appears to work only in the most basic protocols. We did not test this with keyboards or mice. We tested this with higher rate bulk transfer type USB devices and it didn't work on any of them.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I wanted it to do

Pros: -Great Length
-Solid physical connections
-Stable electronic connection
-True to word concerning no additional external power required

It does what I bought it for, it connects my "Jazz HDV188 HD Camcorder" to my system for use in Skype.

Cons: I am not fond of that clear plastic sealed packaging used on darn near EVERYTHING these days. But that is a personal grip and not worth an egg.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with 3G router

Pros: Price is right. Seems to work OK with PC and 3G modem

Cons: This powered USB extension cable below was ordered and tested to raise the Modem up to line of site with the cell tower to get a bit better data rate.

This router DOES NOT work with the Zoom 4506 3G Router

Observations:

*This appears to be a router problem, the extension works with the PC.

*The extension cable DOES work with a PC with the same modem.

* Ive seen similar problems with attempting to use a Linux OS on a flash drive across a powered USB hub.

I do not know if the problem is lack of power to the 3G (it draws max 650 mA) , or data coruption due to not having a transmit driver at the computer. An active extension should have drivers at both ends.

5 out of 5 eggsworks perfectly

Pros: It works exactly as it should for keyboards and mice.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried to transfer data though it, so I can't comment on how well it works for that.
