5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant

Pros: The only adapter I could find that fit a customer's silly 1.8" solid state drive and retrieve that data from it. Not only do I use it now as an external hookup/enclosure, it came with a molex power adapter that comes in handy quite a lot. Thanks Rosewill!

Cons: Negative.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works good and saves me time and trouble having changing between SATA drives.

Cons: Medium-Low quality feel. Cheap USB cable.

Other Thoughts: The USB cable that came with this product was defective. It kept making my drives turn on and off and would ocassionally come loose. On top of that, Windows 7 would not recognized the drives I plugged in.

[SOLUTION]
Found a USB cable I had laying around, used it, then it worked like a charm, finally!!

5 out of 5 eggsA very handy device

Pros: It works perfect. Build quality seems pretty good. I really like the on/off switch to turn on/off whatever you have plugged into this handy device. Has a blue power LED light and White access/read LED, which is also handy to tell if a drive is even working.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I often work on computers for family/friends, this device is very handy to have near by. For netbooks I can use this to access a dvd drive, with laptops it's nice to be able to copy over OS to a new drive/ssd. Also works great to trouble shoot stubborn HDDs that won't boot anymore, you can at least hook this up to another machine and try to salvage some files easily. Overall it's a great product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: This adapter works perfectly and appears to be very well constructed. It even has an on/off switch. It has two indicator lights on the adapter, plus a nice bright indicator light on the power supply. All cords/cables are plenty long. Contrary to what another reviewer said, it works fine without using the available plug for 2nd USB port. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Cons: don't see any Cons.

Other Thoughts: Nice quality adapter. Much better than another one I had.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed Immediately!

Pros: It works, has a fair price, and is of excellent quality. The entire kit is well designed, and, with care, should last a long, long time.

Cons: A yellow paper insert included in the box says that there is a CD included in the box that contains a user manual. There is no CD, but there is a small paper user guide which is written in English, Spanish, and French.

Other Thoughts: Good reviews are worth a lot, at least to me they are. That (and the name SABRENT) is why I chose this model. I knew that this would be a good choice and I am pleased to report that it is. I own a similar device made by BYTECC which has been very unreliable. Most times, the BYTECC is not even recognized by any computer, not even my MacBook Pro. I have bought other products produced by SABRENT in the past and I have never been disappointed with this brand. I have confidence in SABRENT products. I could have save a few dollars with other brands, but I need piece of mind with products that I must rely on. This adapter comes in a good quality box that I plan to keep for storage purposes.

5 out of 5 eggsMust Have

Pros: I bought this to transfer data from my old HDD to my laptop as a back up before I reformatted my HDD for a new build and OS upgrade. This is something any builder should have, especially for the price. Worked great out of the box and I know I will use again.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I used this during my first build and couldn't be happier. Having the ability to back everything up is great for peace of mind and my OCD!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: You can't beat the price for this adapter. After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned about using it to clone my laptop boot drive to a new SSD, but it worked perfectly. I put the new SSD into the Sabrent USB adapter and then used Acronis Home 2010 to copy partitions from the laptop spinning drive to the new SSD. After Acronis finished the copy task I simply removed the old spinning drive from the laptop and replaced it with the SSD and the laptop booted right up without any problems.

Cons: The power cable and USB cables are on the short side. Big deal; so I had to use an extension cord to reach the wall socket. The data copy is pretty slow, if you use it to copy lots of data it'll take a couple of hours. But for the price I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Does exactly what it says it will do. Plugged in a 3.5" hard drive that wouldn't boot regularly, instantly popped up when I plugged it into this thing.

Cons: none so far!

Other Thoughts: it seems a bit lightweight, but as long as you're not throwing it against a wall I'm sure you won't have a problem with it breaking.

Works with 1.8" SATA

Comes with power cube, but not needed for smaller hard drives. Works with 1.8" SATA Drives. Device feels solid.
