5 out of 5 eggsSimple and Useful

Pros: A simple adapter that does as advertised.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's great for all those cases that were gun jumping on USB3 before the MB standard was released to OEMs.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little cable

Pros: Great little cable if you are forced to buy a case with only USB 3.0 plugs rather than a header

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does the job

Cons: May be a bit on the pricey side for a simple cable, but the quality is befitting of the price.

Other Thoughts: Used on my Antec DF-85. It has a USB 3 port on the front, but a standard USB 3 plug for the internal connection as the motherboard header hadn't been standardized at the time.

1 out of 5 eggsBought two, neither worked

Pros: Didn't work, so none.

Cons: They don't work.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these, one for me and one for my friend. We both built new PCs last month, but we both used the Corsair Obsidian 650D case and so we needed a USB 3.0 header cable to attach to the USB 3.0 pass-through that came with the case.

I put the first one in my system and plugged a flash drive into one of the ports. Everything seemed to be fine until I tried to copy some file from or to the drive. The copy or even deleting process would just hang. After a few minutes of waiting for the process to resume, I cancelled the copy/delete and then tried again, to the same result.

So I tried the other USB 3.0 port and it didn't even register. I know the pass-through cables work because I've been using them plugged into the back of the case previously. Then I tried the other adapter, hoping that the problem would only be in one of them. This one had one port that couldn't even properly install the drivers to run and the other one didn't even recognized the flash drive was plugged in. The same drive works on the USB 2.0 header and in the USB 3.0 ports in the back.

I tried another flash drive just to be sure and had the same problems. Maybe I got really unlucky with a bad batch of cables, I don't know. I do know that these will be returned to the place that I bought them from (not here) and I'll try another brand.

3 out of 5 eggsToo stiff

Pros: It *does* do what it is supposed to. It turns a motherboard's USB3 headers into USB type A plugs.

Cons: The cables are WAY too stiff. I put this in a low form factor mini-ITX case, and the cables were so stiff I could barely bend them to get the top on. The connector on the end is extremely tight as well -- after my "test fit" the cable pulled the whole plastic piece off the motherboard. I was able to remove it and place back on the board without issue though.

Other Thoughts: I am still using it and it does its job. I don't plan on ever removing it again so the stiffness doesn't effect me too much, but it is still unnecessary.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it is designed to do

Pros: Easy to use. Nothing much else. I does what it is supposed to do.

Cons: The cables are crazy short... It completely mess up most people's cable management (like mine)

Other Thoughts: No real complaint but short cables... It messed up my cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: Needed this dude to the fact the front USB cables on my 650d didnt come with the native head for the USB3 on the mobo.

Cons: None whatsoever!

Other Thoughts: Cheap and worth it!

4 out of 5 eggsReally good...

Pros: - Does the job
- No connection problems

Cons: - Stiff, can't bend without bending the USB3.0 internal port on my Motherboard.
- USB ports are close to the internal port, so it's not so nice and clean

Other Thoughts: Technically it's perfect but it's stiff so it bends the USB 3.0 internal port on the motherboard if you're doing cable routing. And it ain't really beautifull because it's big and stiff.
