Pros: Cheap and effective.

Cons: The HDD connected via the adapter will disconnect from time to time, but this may likely be a software issue.

Pros: Inexpensive, converts your SATA, IDE, or laptop-IDE devices to USB2.0, comes with all the necessary cables, works out of the box.

Cons: It could have had an activity LED on the unit (like the Vantec, Bytecc or other brands), nothing big...

Other Thoughts: Saved me from troubleshooting external hard drive troubles... Thought my 1TB Seagate was going bad, but looks like the issue lies inside the External Enclosure/SATA->USB controller in the case. My drive is 100% fine...

Pros: None as i can tell right now as i cant use it at all.

Cons: the power supply is dangerous and just junk.. It smelled as soon as I plugged it in. Being a 24 year electronics specialist i decided to take it apart to see what the problem was. There is a 680ufd 16 volt capacitor next to the output that exploded. I replaced it thinking it was a fluke. Turned it back on and same thing, smelled real bad.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this fire hazard.
Not worth paying the return shipping on this fro another piece of juck.
