5 out of 5 eggs2 Extra SATA Power Connections

Pros: Easy to connect. Adds 2 more connections on a system that needs it.

Cons: Would be nice to have a right angle option for the first connector. It increases the overall connection length by 1" for the first connector.

Other Thoughts: This is a great way to add power connectors on systems that would otherwise be lacking or are proprietary (like Gateway). Recommend adding the connectors to a connection that is otherwise lightly used (like DVD/CD/Blu-ray). Should easily support SSD power requirements.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for RAID Arrays

Pros: I love these! I bought a few to set up a RAID array with SSDs in my computer case. Coupled with the 2x2.5" drives to 3.5" bay adapters (Newegg item N82E16817997035 from which I removed the fans to fit two drives each). Because the drives are so close to one another vertically, the right angle connectors on my power supply just won't work for every drive, and there are not quite enough connectors on my supply for the number of drives anyway. These work wonderfully, spacing the use of right angle plugs apart enough to still let me use them and adding the straight plugs to fit in all the drives that are stacked on one another.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that the source plug is in-line with one of the three split sockets. Depending on your physical layout of your enclosure where you use this, it could be an issue. It adds about an inch and a half from the back of the drive it's plugged in to, and this is before plugging a power connector into it. Not a huge deal on rear-facing bays like the 5.25" optical drive bays, but it may cause issues with sideways internal 3.5" bays. It would have been an issue for me, except I was using a bracket adapter and the drives were recessed enough in the bracket to give me extra room.

4 out of 5 eggsIt does the splits

Pros: It splits. Looks to be quality made, nothing loose. The bottom of the Y also has a pass through connector, so you could probably hook up 3 devices off one cable... assuming they were close enough together.

Cons: If I had to give one downside, it is that the connectors seem large. No, not larger than average. Just large. You'd think these could be made smaller in this day and age?

Other Thoughts: Ended up not using it for what I intended.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job perfectly.

Pros: Ample length for my needs of adding an additional drive to a tower. I was impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship. I would definitely buy these again if needed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I needed two of these for drive additions I was making in two of my towers. I originally considered a lower priced brand, but wasn't impressed with the reviews that product had. After seeing these, I was more than happy to pay a little extra.

Newegg's current offer of free shipping only sweeten the deal. Thanks Newegg!!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect.

Pros: Ok, what better could you ask for.. a splitter that also passes through, so it isn't just a 1 to 2, but rather is a 1 to 3.

Cons: Power supply might not handle the extra load? Just kiddin

Other Thoughts: if you need more SATA power this is a good purchase

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job perfectly

Pros: Turns one SATA power connector into 3.

Cons: Maybe the power cable ends are a little too close together for my personal preference, but it's not a major issue at all. It's easy to make due.

Other Thoughts: This cable saved me a lot of headache when I wanted a new HDD but had no more SATA power connectors. Works without a hitch, I definitely recommend it.
