IDE to SATA Adapter Converter
The StarTech PATA2SATA2 IDE to SATA Drive Adapter Kit is a simple and cost-effective solution for using newer SATA drives on a legacy computer or a computer with all SATA connections already in use.
Featuring two SATA connectors and one IDE connector, this dual-channel bridge lets you effortlessly connect high-speed SATA hard drives to your IDE (Parallel ATA) motherboard. It minimizes the space required for IDE cable connections, helping improve airflow within the case which in turn helps to optimize system performance.
Additionally, this IDE to SATA Drive Adapter Kit includes a power connector and SATA data cables, ensuring the upgrade to SATA is easy. No driver/software installation is required.
Please Note: To connect to a power source, SATA hard drives require SATA power. If your computer’s power supply does not have a SATA power connection, the SATAPOADAP 6-Pin LP4 Male to Serial ATA power Adapter will be required. Sold Separately.
