2 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's designed to do

Pros: Functions properly

Cons: Low quality for a cable of that price. Connector is loose when attached to the drive prompting me to design a retaining bracket for it.

Other Thoughts: I have used StarTech products in the past and it is my experience that the quality just does not measure up to the price tag. I decided to take a chance on this cable only to be disappointed.
Do your self a favour go and order a better quality one from China, it might take longer to arrive but you will be much happier with the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Bought this for use with my Sony Optiarc AD-7710H-01. Turns out, my Antec ISK 65already had a micro power connector built in. I use this anyway since it fits on very securely.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Expected

Pros: Works as expected in my Sony Optiarc slimline sata dvd burner. If the burner is OEM and you are using it for a desktop PC, you need to purchase this cable to connect to you mobo's sata2 connections.

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsBe aware

Pros: N82E16812200374 *vs* N82E16812270183.
I ordered this one (N82E16812200374 - $12) with 4pin 12V power supply vs. the 4pin with 5V power supply (N82E16812270183 - $7).
They'll probably work equally as well ...

Cons: What I received was the 18" N82E16812270183 - $7 model in an open bag.
Someone probably switched the cables around ....?
Going to call tomorrow for an RMA. This does NOT happen regularly with Newegg, yet it IS disappointing!

Other Thoughts: Lesson: Be careful when you receive a "hard to find" item. Check the pictures.
