GWC AR2500- 5M 16.4 ft. USB 2.0 Repeater Cable

Pros: I bought 4 of these because my comp is hooked up to my tv and I like being able to move around without going wireless.

They are plenty long and feel well made. They were recognized without a hitch and work like a charm. Good price too.

Cons: I wish they came in black.

Pros: Long range, Works great!

Cons: Ordered it with my other cables and to my dismay the GWC AR2500 wasn't among them and had to get another shipped to me which took nearly a month for Newegg to process the Order again. Now, I got it and it works Great!

Pros: Worked right out of box. Connected to a HD webcam. HD video at 30fps with no problem.

Cons: It would be much better if there's white version.

Pros: Awesome product, even without taking price into consideration. But at this price, it could not be better.

Cons: None yet...

Other Thoughts: This worked perfectly on my windows 7 64bit machine. I linked TWO of these together with perfect results.

Other Thoughts: People complain about these being bulky, but you have to understand that because this cable takes the USB signal to its maximum limit, it actually implements a Hub device on the female end that acts as a signal repeater. This means that it has a little PCB repeater built into the female end, and your PC will therefore recognize it as a discreet USB device, for which it will automatically install drivers.

This should not interfere with the operation of any attached devices - I attached another USB Hub to this and used it in my theater room to place the wireless dongles for my mouse/keyboard close to where they are implemented. My computer had no trouble recognizing the hub and attached devices. I've also used it with a wifi adapter so that I could move it to a place where it had good reception. As long as you keep it plugged into the same USB port, it will immediately pass through the repeater and recognize your device. If you move USB ports, it will have to keep reinstalling drivers.

Pros: I love this cable!
Runs my external wireless card from a place where I actually get good signal!

Cons: Needs to be a darker color to match my carpet.

Pros: Just plug and go, works great over long distance. Never had a problem.

Cons: the connector heads are a bit bulky, and hard to snake through tight spaces.

Other Thoughts: I have a PC on the 2nd floor, and linked two of these together in order to use a wireless mouse & keyboard on the 1st floor using a 42" HDTV as a monitor. Couldn't be happier.

Pros: This item was an absolute gem to find. It does exactly what I needed it to do and more. I wanted to bring my monitor and keyboard/mouse out to a coffee table so I could watch tv while I was on the computer and not lose screen real estate. I ran this ext wire as far as it would go and connected it to a 7 port usb hub so I could hook anything into it. I hooked my keyboard, which also has a secondary usb port which still works in this setup, my mouse, a webcam, and still able to charge my phone and mp3 player. I could not be any happier then I am right now with this product. I'm even ordering another one for another setup.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is phenomenal. Always excellent delivery and products are undamaged. Will always stay a newegg customer.....cannot find better prices on avg.

Pros: Plug and play. I purchased 4 of these in February no problems so far.

Pros: Very easy installation - just plug it in. Allowed me to move my wireless adapter up out of the basement so I now get up to a 54 Mbps rate.

Cons: Cable is fairly flexible but still a little kinked from being looped up in it's blister pack. I will try laying it out in a warm area so it will lay flat and fully extend.

Other Thoughts: The clear vinyl (?) cover over the silver shield of the cable looks nice but stands out a bit too much against our wood paneling. Maybe a color choice of black or gray would make it less visible. Picky, picky, picky...
