Pros: -DVI-I (dual link)

Cons: -It was more than $5 when I bought it.

Other Thoughts: This is a DVI-I (dual link) style plug which is great because it's for digital and/or analogue, unlike DVI-A or DVI-D. Not much else to say though.

Know what DVI connector you need before ordering!

Pros: Looks and feels nice!

Cons: Mainly my ignorance... I thought there was only one type of DVI. I never ran into this issue before. The DVI connector is a DVI-I dual link connector. My monitors have DVI-D single link mail ports. I was trying to change my monitor to have 2 VGA ports. This would not push in due to additional pins. I have since found out the different DVI types (Google search) and will just keep this for a paperweight!!

Other Thoughts: I did connect it to my video cards DVI port and hook up a VGA cable to my monitor and it would not work. I read that you can not run digital thru VGA cable? Again, I was not aware of the different types. I have only run across DVI-D single connectors.
