BYTECC Model SATA-118D 18" Serial ATA-150/300 Cable L Shape plug w/Locking Latch

Pros: I have an old system (6 years old) that uses Sata II HDDs and Sata I Optical Drives, and I can tell you for a fact that these cables do utilize both technology speeds appropriately.

I bought 6 of these to save some extra pennies, and at $3.25 each, this is a steal!

I recently swapped out my computer case from that old, lame HP case (death by 1000 cuts) with the Corsair 300R and these cables are able to stretch between the devices with ease, leaving plenty of room and bendability to not block airflow.

In the 300R, my HDD's have about 1/4" of room when they are mounted in place properly, so these L Shape plugs work gloriously! They are able to bend itself without breaking or tearing, which adds to the ease of installation!

Cons: Doesn't support Sata III speeds.

I found that the locking latch doesn't quite work too well, and can break easily. But, since the cables still work just fine without the locking latch, it's not a big deal.

Pros: It worked. Solidly made. Perfect fitment.

Cons: None

Pros: Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: None.

Pros: Well, for starters, it has a locking latch for that oh-so-satisfying "ping!" when you set it correctly, so no troubleshooting a mis-placed cable. I enjoy the L shape so my cables are easy to manage. Even on a Mid-ATX motherboard you'll have extra cable, except for the top drive slot, which is the perfect length.

Cons: Didn't even need them, as my peripherals and hard drive came with cables. If I didn't like them, [round, not long enough, no latch] I'd replace them with these.

Other Thoughts: Excellent cables for a very low price. Worth it.

Pros: I needed a L shape plug to get underneath my duel fan Graphics card which was hiding the other 2 SATA ports, and this cable worked flawlessly. Going to be putting the SSD I got in a new case, and the 18" should be helpful.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Might have to get some more of them because the factory stock (HP) sata cables are too short.

Pros: Absolutely perfect for the highly confined ports in my HTPC case. I recommend trying one of these for anyone who has a case where access to the SATA ports or the hard drives is tight. Without it, I wouldn't be able to connect my hard drive to my motherboard!

Other Thoughts: This baby works flawlessly with my OCZ SSD. Super fast transfer rates on a solid state hard drive.

Pros: I upgraded my system with a gtx560 video card and was afraid I'd lose the #1 sata connector on the mb as a result. The 90 degree connector on this cable fit under the new vid card perfectly so I could continue using the sata connector.

Cons: Doesn't come in a 12 inch length - that would have made this absolutely perfect, but I still gave it 5 stars.

Pros: It works well, and does what it should. It is a good length for reaching the drives, but not unnecessarily long as to get tangled or block airflow.

Cons: none

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do.

Cons: It's longer than I thought it would be, and takes up space in my case. But that's not really a big deal.
