Have anyone tried this on a Dremel 3d printer?

Haven't tried it on the Dremel Printer, but use it for a driver's license interface. We have the reader at the door of schools in our area so we put the Bytecc in the same mounting box as the reader, ran a cat-5 to the box and connected via the network switch. I have also use this device to put a USB printer on the network in a different location from the PC....works great...:D

Question 2

Is this best, most price effective option to convert an old Brother MFP printer to a wireless setup, where either my wife of I could print or scan documents from one of our laptops over the home wireless network?

This is not a wireless device. It can send USB data to a printer from Ethernet connection to a dedicated server computer. In other words you can transmit a document through your wireless router to a server computer that would then convert this to USB for your printer.

Having said that if you have a dedicated computer connected by USB to your printer you can just set up said computer as a Prin Server through your OS.

Hi,
I only see Win XP, Vista, 7 on the box, so I am guessing the driver CD only includes these drivers. Is there a driver for Win8.1 for?

There was a Windows 8.1 driver one found online when the device was plugged into that system.  It works well for it's intended use.

Question 4

I have the video from my PC piped to a screen in another room in the house. Could I use this with a hub to remotely use a keyboard and mouse?

You should be able to as far as everything is in the same subnet. Otherwise that device is not discoverable.

Will this work correctly with multiple devices if I attach a multiport usb adapter to the single port this comes with?

I haven't tried that.  I have a 2tb external drive on it.  try it to see!  It does work good though for network additions

It would be the software included that you'd need to be concerned about.

The item itself can be used with anything.

My understanding is you plug, say your printer, into the usb port then the internet RJ45 cable on the other side would go to your router, switch, etc. So as long as you have signal from the router switch i see no reason why it wouldn't.
