5 out of 5 eggsIt's a SATA cable

Pros: SATA functionality.

SATA socket latch

Cons: SATA socket latch

Other Thoughts: the 'latch' on this product is as much a gift as a curse. It works great for holding the cables in place to the motherboard when multiple devices are vying for precious space. Has prevented cables from becoming unhooked from pressure near the socket.

Difficult to remove the clips in tight spaces, if the latch is under another sata cable you must remove both cables. A very minor con considering how infrequently one must reroute cables in a fully functioning system.

3 out of 5 eggsNo snaps.

Pros: It works.

Cons: If your hardware was not designed to make use of the latching mechanism, these cables will fit loosely and fall off because they do not have the little plastic nub inside that older SATA connectors snap onto.

Other Thoughts: As a temporary fix, i just used some tape to hold them in place till i could get some different cables.

1 out of 5 eggsdidnt work for me.

Pros: black, carries a signal (most of the time)

Cons: latches fall off. cant put more than one into a modern mobo. as even without the clips it forces them funky and they fall out, the clips dont work on mobo side and just fall out. worst cable ever. currently using the OEM gross red ones till i can find a cable worth my time. worst $22.45 i ever spent. apart from that weekend in eastern europe, but im not talking about that.

Other Thoughts: look somewhere else seriously. i read the other reviews and thought how bad could a cable be... yes that bad. my drives would stop working randomly and start up again, realized it was those cables replaced and haven't looked back sense, just looked forward at some gross colored but highly functional red cables.

5 out of 5 eggsNice cables for the price

Pros: Good product and craftsmanship. Cables look good and function well. The latches really grab hold of the ports in the MOBO and on my devices.

Cons: None as yet.

Other Thoughts: Easy to work with for good wire management inside the PC case.

5 out of 5 eggsYou will see a DIFFERENCE !

Coming Soon!

Pros: Did a Benchmark video highlighting my performance 'boost' using these new upgrade from my SATA II cables. Please forgive first half of Video. I combined two reviews into one. In some cases I got up to a 62% performance increase by just changing the cables. (Cables, Hard drives and Motherboard all purchased from NewEgg).

Cons: Wished I knew to have done this earlier. Windows Index did not change a bit, Hard drive Score still 5.9. But system is snappier.

Other Thoughts: ASRock Z68 Pro3 MoBo.
Intel i5 2500K CPU
nVidia GTX 460 Video Card
16 Gigs of Corsair Vengence RAM (from NewEgg)

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best. Not the worst.

Pros: At the time I ordered it, it was inexpensive and came with free shipping.

Cons: Connector is too thick to fit correctly on motherboards with compact SATA headers.
