4 out of 5 eggsDoes its job

Pros: Works great converting DP to SL DVI-D. Don't have a monitor to test at higher res.

Cons: As already mentioned, the DVI plug is quite deep. If you are using cable management, make sure to account for the extra slack needed to route the cable back to the monitor base or other non-high voltage bundle. Could limit VESA wall mounting.

Other Thoughts: For the price I paid, I am glad I bought 2 of these. I highly doubt I'll test the cable to its full spec as the monitors are only 1080p.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work. Display port end to video card, DVI end to monitor. Display was distorted. Removed it and connected regular DVI to DVI wire.Connected to Zota GTX 960 Amp! edition.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cable, might have issues...

Pros: Good quality, long enough, not to long. Good strong connector head on both ends.

Cons: Possible problems with certain older monitors, maybe cause of digital DP to DVI conversion, anyways take that into consideration.

4 out of 5 eggsDidn't work with a Lenovo displayport to an older Acer Monitor

Pros: Newegg allowed a refund.

Cons: This cable adapter didn't work with a Lenovo ThinkCenter M92 (SSF) computer displayport and an older Acer monitor, AL2223W,(DVI-D and VGA connections).
There was no display transmission at all.

Other Thoughts: It may have been defective; no way to test though.

4 out of 5 eggsworks great, but not for what i want.

Pros: Thick cable, gold plated(kinda pointless...), and works well.

Cons: Is not an active display port cable, meaning i cannot run 3 monitors with this cable and need to buy a new one... Its my own fault for this, so I'm only docking one egg.

3 out of 5 eggsCan't rely on it, probably wouldn't buy again

Pros: Worked with many displays and video cards. Seems to be a descent cable.

Cons: When connecting a Dell E248WFP to a Dell PowerEdge T20 the display was never recognized. Didn't matter if I plugged it in before boot or after Windows running. Nothing -- not even a sound from Windows of a recognized display when plugging in. I tried for a good 15 minutes before giving up. Other monitors on this server with this same cable worked.

A Dell 023NVR (also a passive DP->DVI adapter) worked between these two devices perfectly.

Other Thoughts: Next time I need a passive DP->DVI connection I will probably just buy another one of the Dell adapters and a DVI cable. So far those have been 100% compatible for me while this cable is not.

If I'm paying a premium for an adapter integrated in a cable I expect it to work as well as a discrete solution.
