5 out of 5 eggsGreat cable

Pros: Works perfectly, they feel nice. I also like the locking connector.

Cons: I haven't experienced any

Other Thoughts: Nice and thick cable, I would buy these again.

3 out of 5 eggsCan't rely on it, probably wouldn't buy again

Pros: Worked with many displays and video cards. Seems to be a descent cable.

Cons: When connecting a Dell E248WFP to a Dell PowerEdge T20 the display was never recognized. Didn't matter if I plugged it in before boot or after Windows running. Nothing -- not even a sound from Windows of a recognized display when plugging in. I tried for a good 15 minutes before giving up. Other monitors on this server with this same cable worked.

A Dell 023NVR (also a passive DP->DVI adapter) worked between these two devices perfectly.

Other Thoughts: Next time I need a passive DP->DVI connection I will probably just buy another one of the Dell adapters and a DVI cable. So far those have been 100% compatible for me while this cable is not.

If I'm paying a premium for an adapter integrated in a cable I expect it to work as well as a discrete solution.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but.....

Pros: Works well. Seems well built. Heavy duty cable.

Cons: The DVI connector is quite long and bulky, and does not allow it to be used in a tight space or when the the monitor DVI connector is inset into the monitor back-there is not enough physical room. The DVI connector dimensions are 70 mm long (needs 90+ mm of space to not stress the cable in bending), 39 mm wide, 15 mm deep. Unfortunately it does not work with many of our monitors. (measurements are approximate)

Other Thoughts: OK, with DVI plug size caveat.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: Very simple cable - plugs in easily - and it works! Can't beat that...

Cons: The fact that I needed one of these at all. But that's not this cable's fault.

Other Thoughts: Great little solution to allow you to use a DVI monitor from a Display Port ... port.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a cable.

Pros: Thick and solid, high quality feel.

Cons: hm... nope, none.

Other Thoughts: It's a good thick cable, it doesn't feel cheap like most thin cables do. Running three monitors on a single gtx760 which only has 2 dvi ports. I'm using this to run the third monitor, it works.
It's a cable, it cables and when it cables, it cables well.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable, good connectivity

Pros: I ordered about ten of these, and so far they've all worked perfectly. The DisplayPort connector snaps in nicely and fits snugly, and the DVI connector screws right in without too much difficulty. The screws are long enough that you can fairly easily get a handle on them.

Cons: The DVI connector is a little long for some monitors, meaning it can be tough to get it into the port. Hasn't caused any issues for me yet, but I guess it's something to consider if your ports are difficult to access.

Other Thoughts: I'll definitely be picking some more of these up in the near future. A great product.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Peasy

Pros: Satisfies the task of hooking up my Lenovo W520 to a DVI monitor. It has a nifty locking mechanism so it doesn't fall out.

Cons: None so far.
