5 out of 5 eggsP5E Sata III

Pros: Just works! I bought this to put Sata III on an older ASUS P5E mb with a new C300 SSD 64Gb.Drive shows in boot section of BIOS,but doesnt show on screen until BIOS functions are done.OS is Linux 10.10 , and no drivers are needed.Increased SSD read from 280 on sata II to 375 on sata III.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If I had thought about it I might have bought version with USB3 included.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Very simple to install. I works with my Abit IP35 pro in the 4x slot.
Htune on a SE16 640 I had 110/109 which is just as good as the ICH9 controller
Overall for $20 to add two more SATA ports it's a steal.

Cons: Port 1 that points to the front of the case, as mounted under your GPU the SATA cable can come very close to the fan so routing is important. It would be best to attach a drive below the GPU so the cable goes away from the blades.

Other Thoughts: the CD had the older drivers, Asus's website has the latest drivers from 3/10 which work just fine without any issues.
You get another SCSI controller in your settings. Marvel should not clash with Jmicron or SI

5 out of 5 eggsAsus PCIE GEN2 SATA 6/G

Pros: I have a nvidia 750i motherboard that does not support AHCI. When I installed Intel ssd I was not getting optimal performance. This 20.00 add on card did the trick, blazing fast. Get this card if you only have 3gb/s on your south bridge it is awesome and a cinch to install.

Cons: None Yet

5 out of 5 eggsIf your noy happy with your SSD and AMD

Pros: I finally got a ssd but on the AMD sb710 and sb750 southbridges seemed like i was getting shorted on speed was supposed to be getting 220 reads but was only getting 190 - 200 but i knew the drive should perform a little better so i got this card plugged it into a sata 2.0 not 3.0 ssd with no raid (card doesnt do raid anyway) and BAMM im getting 210-240 reads while writes didnt change. For anyone not happy with your new ssd and AMD southbridge GET THIS CARD!!! dont buy a new mobo because your ssd seems slow!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: All AMD owners with ssd's needs one of these im not talking about the new 800 series south bridges though only sb750 and below. I really didnt think it would work so well for only 20 bucks but it surpassed all my expectations. A installation note if your ssd is currently in IDE mode follow these steps plug the card in first with no drives attached boot up let windows load the AHCI drivers for the card then shut the pc down again now plug in your ssd and walla it boots up perfect in AHCI mode which supports TRIM too. You probably have to change boot order in the bios after you plug the ssd in so be aware. Now sit back and enjoy your new SSD!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with any Board!

Pros: I tested this out and it works in PCI-16x slot on a 790GX motherboard!

High quality chip SATA 6GB support. Super cheap for PCI-e 4x. No issues at all - BIOS comes up just fine with 2 other AHCI chips enabled.

Cons: None - A real bargin. Make sure you have a x4 slot or higher. Not truly SATA III

Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure if this would work since it listed requirements as P55 boards, however it works just fine with HDD and optical drives. Since this was so cheap, I may get another and convert this to a x1 card with the dremel tool.
