Great little board
- Pros: This board has everything I wanted on it for my Ubuntu Server Install. It runs pretty quiet, and the install went smooth.
- Cons: Nothing that I can think of
- Other Thoughts: Bought this board and 512MB of RAM and everything has been going fine. For $25 this was a steal!
knew what to expect, made out happy
- Pros: very pleased with overall quality and performance of the board. I bought this together with 1gb of 266 ram and am quite pleased with it's speed, even with a 5400 rpm/ 512 cache system drive it boots XP pretty fast and opens folders faster. I wonder how it would be with 2gb ram and a 7800 rpm system drive...
Perfect small low power consumption PC solution. This board is going into an automotive application and seems well built enough to take on the task with ease. Runs quiet and trouble free for me. Will be buying another, would make a great PC for younger kids.
- Cons: could use a 3rd PCI slot instead of the useless to me CNR riser slot. Manual needs work- the diagram for the front panel control header is a bit confusing being that only pin 1 is labeled. The pins go bottom row: 1,3,5,7,9 top row 2,4,6,8
other than that there is not much else I can complain about,
- Other Thoughts: I read the other reviews and understood what I was getting. If you are in the market for a new motherboard and have basic computing needs like internet, email, home networking etc this is a good choice.
alright for the price
- Pros: worked coming out of the box. No problems loading windows xp. Was not as noisy as some reported and it does what I needed a cheap board to do. Haven't had any problems in a few months.
- Cons: Not real fast but what do you expect for the cost. Definetly could use a better graphics chip but its alright.
- Other Thoughts: If you are expecting anything better than an average board spend more money. This things does what it says it will do and I've bought two without any malfunctions so far. Buying another one too.
