1 out of 5 eggsWon't work in my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit box

Pros: It's a Belkin

Cons: Can't get it to work in my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit box. I have one of these that I purchased years ago for an XP box and had no problem when I transfered it to a Win7 64 bit box but can't get this latest one to work in my Win7 Ultimate 64bit box. Wish there was a driver that I could download somewhere.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a PCI USB controller. Perfect for when you're out of USB ports. The inward-facing USB port is nice for USB Bluetooth dongles, flash drives permanently used for Readyboost, and other USB devices you needn't unplug.

Cons: Wasn't free. Also doesn't make me coffee.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality product

Pros: High-speed USB for legacy PCs.
Quality construction.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've installed several of these in legacy systems over the years, as well as into a couple of PCs that ran out of front/rear ports. It's basically Plug-and-Play. Consistent throughput and doesn't choke on multiple attached devices. Belkin got it right.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat For Older Computers

Pros: The ASUS P3V133 Motherboard that came with the computer I bought over 10 years ago was a great motherboard considering technology at the time, but it was seriously handicapped when it came to USB ports and so I bought this card to add USB ports. If it was going to add USB 2 capability that was a bonus. I installed this PCI Card to the ASUS P3V133 over five years ago. The Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 PCI Card and the ASUS P3V133 are still operational.

Cons: It only works on older systems; only thing I can thing of.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that this card was developed years ago. I would only recommend installing this on older machines; five years or older. Why anyone would want to install a card like this on a newer machine I don't know. All newer computers come with the latest versions of USB and other types of connections, and all newer computers I've seen have plenty of USB ports and if you need more ports then get a modern USB Hub; most can be chained together to give you almost unlimited ports.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with 64 bit Win7

Pros: works great, effortless installation, pretty blue color

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Can't understand earlier comment that this won't work with 64 bit windows. Just moved this card from my old XP box to my new Win7 64bit setup and it worked fine. And it doesn't need special drivers. This is a GOOD thing.

4 out of 5 eggsRead specs Carefully

Pros: This card is a quality product all the way. Works perfectly in Win XP 32 bit. And here it ranks 5 eggs.

Cons: Belkin has not written drivers for Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows7 64 bit for this card. And it appears they have no intensions to do so. As far as I can tell, all the Belkin USB PCI cards that Newegg carries operate only in older operating systems. Here, I'm rating zero eggs, averaging no more than three eggs.

Other Thoughts: I did not try the card in Win Vista 32 bit or Win 7 32 bit. Perhaps someone else has had experience with this situation and can offer input. If someone reports they work for sure in these OS, I'd possibly upgrade to four eggs.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Just plug and go. Noticable improvement on web cam. It doesnt look like i'm transmitting from the moon anymore.

Cons: I'd tell you if I had found one.

Other Thoughts: Placed a 16G on 5th port to didicate as Readyboost. Big improvement over all on system.
