Pros: It does exactly what you would expect it to. No hiccups or problems here. Speed seems to be the same as any other Firewire ports I've used before.

Pros: speed remains steady. compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. there is an internal 1394a port on the card.
Cons: if you use the internal port it renders one of the external useless. not enough to take an egg away IMO.
Other Thoughts: firewire is being phased out and i imagine USB 3.0 is expected to fill the gap. just a thought, but until Usb3.0 is released... can the mobo manufacturers continue to include 1394 technology? this has become quite an annoyance.

Pros: I just wanted to say.....That I got this hooked up to my asus motherboard today, running windows 7, and it worked right away. Transferred 3 home movies over so far and not a problem one.
Cons: Shipping was about the same as the item. Not really a con at all......
Other Thoughts: Newegg got it too me quick and painless like always.......

It's Good at What It's Suppposed to Do

Pros: It works fine and does what it's supposed to, Windows 7 installed the latest drivers and had it working in no time. Also lets me use my DV Camcorder as a webcam, which is pretty aewsome.
Cons: The screws it came with won't screw into my case so the cover for it just kinda hangs there. But that's not huge.
Other Thoughts: Get it if you just need something to transfer data and use your camera as a webcam. It's worth getting, considering it works well and it's only $6.
