5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great! Some Digging Required

Pros: I needed something to let the USB 3.0 ports on the front of my machine work as the motherboard did not have the correct connector. This was a simple install (though no clip included to keep this in place, so have a screw handy) and is exactly what I was looking for.

Cons: This came with a driver's disk, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time sifting through every file, looking for the driver installer on the disc. So I went to Syba's website and was able to download and install the driver.

Other Thoughts: This is a great buy if you're looking for a way to connect your USB 3.0 front ports on your case. It does take a few minutes to locate and install the driver from Syba's website, but other than this, it is a great solution for a great price.

5 out of 5 eggsSY-PEX20140 (review)

Pros: this one has the same chipset as the one on my motherboard for usb 3.0. it has 3 led's on the bottom when powered on, good for a motherboard that doesn't have usb 3.0 19-pin front connection for case. i am using windows 8 pro 64-bit. drivers on supplied CD are better than the one windows installs automatically.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: also power and 19-pin connections are both on back of card so it is better.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well.

Pros: Inexpensive, works as described.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Drivers installed with no problem. Haven't had a chance to calculate actual speed yet but obviously much faster than USB 2.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat add on

Pros: fast, priced right, internal header, power supply connection optional

Cons: installation was a bit tricky - windows didn't recognize the device. had to find the product support page and manually install the drivers (-1 egg)

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these to upgrade a pair of older work computers with USB3.0. Great choice! Driver issues aside, these are great add in cards that allow for future expansion via the internal header.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB

Pros: Low profile bracket included
19 Pin USB3 connector
Pci-e 1x

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This card delivers exactly what it promises, 2 USB3 connections and internal 19 connector. Using the 19 pin connector on two front USB3 ports on my computer I experienced 90.56MB/s read and 91.28MB/s write. The card itself has a very low profile and is not long which allows for better airflow in the case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as intended after downloading the drivers and disconnecting the 4 pin molex.

A relatively cheap unit that supplies 2 external usb3 and 1 internal usb3 19pin header.

Got it 30% off.

Cons: After physically installing the unit, I had issues during reboots and shutdowns. Not installing a 4 pin molex cable to this unit resolved the problem.

Ports are still usable, but I believe this disables charge mode on usb.

Could also be a compatibility issue on my end, but highly doubtful; computer was absolutely stable before addition of new device.

Other Thoughts: Other than not being able to power the device with a 4 pin molex, everything else was at "standard".

Use the driver from syba.

-should be the first hit

Extra thoughts: Even after the computer shuts down, there is a orange led light coming from the unit - the heat isn't a threat, but the led light is on 24/7 (unless power is removed from the computer).

I purchased two of these units and both worked for me.
4.5 eggs for this device.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: USB3 in & out; low profile; no DIP switches limiting whether to use the 19pin or the external ports.

Cons: Not recognized by MS (or LINUX obviously) out of the box. There is more than one model; all very similar. Make sure to grab the right driver from the website. How long are we going to continue using MOLEX? There's got to be a better way. May not be accessible until in OS; one UEFI machine sees it and another doesn't.

Other Thoughts: For the price this is a great add-on for older boards and chipsets w/o USB3 headers. Speeds are a little slower than my on-board, but still very acceptable.

1 out of 5 eggs1 1/2 months and DEAD

Pros: Worked great while it worked

Cons: Lets see.. Came home from work today to find my PC would not turn on. On a whim, I pulled this card since it was the last thing changed on the PC and everything went back to normal. Plugged it back in...DEAD. Poor quality.
