Hi, I am looking at getting 3 monitors that have only a display port, i have 2 gtx 690s with 1 display port each. I am trying to see if i can use this as an adapter to change out Dual link DVI output to a display port input for the 3rd monitor? Any thoughts. Are these 2 way?

I use these for three yamakasi monitors, they are outstanding and I have never had any issues with them. I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say two way though. The male display port end recieves the data and transmits through the female DVI to the monitor. My setup is cross fired cards, with three monitors plugged into a single card using 1x DVI out, 2x display port out (with converter)

How much power does this draw from USB? I may be using it with a USB hub that only draws power from USB; no external power supply. Just trying to make sure I'm not going to over-draw by connecting multiple devices to this hub.

Andrew, Sorry but I am not able to answer your question. I was not able to use the adapter with a 13" MacBook Pro. So the adapter sits in the cabinet with other adapters. I wish I could have been of some help. Ed
