Other Thoughts: Be aware this USB 3.0 PCI Add-On Card is using the PCI bus. Not PCI-express x4 or x16. So it's limited to PCI speeds. Don't expect a lot of speed. Cons: For some reason, I'm not getting USB 3.0 speed with a Western Digital My Passport external hard drive (the only USB 3.0) device I own. When I plug My Passport into the card, a message appears on the monitor, telling me the My Passport device will give faster speed if I plug it into a USB 3.0 port. That's what I plugged it into. The Device Manager shows the USB 3.0 card is installed and working properly. Have not yet figured out why it's not giving fast speed. If it would do that, I'd rate this product with 5 Eggs. I connected it to an empty PCI slot, connected the power cable (tried both SATA and the floppy power cable), installed the provided drivers (which by the way installed "successfully") and everything looked awesome until I connected anything to the USB 3.0 ports (any USB device not only high speed devices; I connected more than 10 different devices). Then, following few seconds, a message appears that basically it cannot recognize whatever I connected to the device. Device manager says that the device cannot start. I spent a full weekend trying to figure this out but I am DONE. I am sending it back... Other Thoughts: Just do not buy it... 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you?
