3 out of 5 eggsSimple but seems to work only as advertised.

Pros: No software, simple plug and play. It takes a display port and gives you the ability of creating a 2-3 monitor display, or 2-3 monitor mirror without taking another monitors spot. An inexpensive tool for Display Port, and one of the only ones this early.

Cons: Only horizontal funtions, Zero cusomizations, There are so many other solutions to solving this problem. No bezel options and there is a slight delay in the video. Only buy this product if you want a wide display. If you have two Display Ports and have two of these devices you could have a 2x2, 2x3 or 3x2 monitor configuration. It would be alot cheaper to buy a better video card and more adapters. This is a simple 'valve' for video - a dumb box. I can't be too critical of a divice that does what they say it will do and only utilizes what it's given.

Other Thoughts: I'm trying to create a 2x2 eyefinity display. My card only has one DP so the best i coud do with this is a 2x1 with DP and 2x1 with eyefinity giving me a 2x2 desktop. This will not allow me to play games across all four screens. Perhaps if I come across a deal with a good graphics card that has 2 Display Ports, then I could use another one of these to do the job.

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable and flaky

Pros: Easy to set up - just plug it in. Would be great if it worked.

Cons: This would be a nice product, if it worked consistently. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be able to reliably detect what displays are plugged in and flickers back and forth between the displays. Since there is no way to manually set the unit, it is basically unusable. Have tried with several display and laptop combinations, and none worked reliably, so I must conclude the unit is poorly engineered.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I expected

Pros: Trivial to connect and configure

Cons: Bulky connector for the displayport taking space of the nearby usb slot - I had to trim down the extra plastic off it with a razor blade before everything fitted in.

Other Thoughts: I have this thing feeding two identical dell 1920x1200 monitors with ease from a mac book pro late 2011 running Ubuntu. Silky smooth and beats any DisplayLink-type device 10 fold.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for its uses / mixed with Eyefinity

Pros: * 2-3 monitors off one displayport.
* If you select res of a monitor, it goes into mirror mode
* Much faster than USB solutions, plus get full graphics device acceleration

Cons: * Using a mini displayport extension cable with the included adapter is huge. A pain in the you-know-what. Bad for Macbook pros, and blocked the other displayport on my Radeon 7870
* Max res of 3840x1200, independent if you have 2 or 3 screens
* Portrait gives you a really, really long virtual monitor
* Mixed results with Eyefinity

Other Thoughts: I say it's a handy device. The "two monitors acting as one" is mixed. For productivity, it means that if you hit maximize, the screen is maximized to both screens.

I just tried it with Eyefinity, and you can't group a pair of two with a third screen. It would be good if you wanted to use one of the displayport outputs mirrored, then again, you have 4 video outs with the displayports and the magic Eyefinity numbers are 3 and 5.

3 out of 5 eggsNot what I was expecting

Pros: Just Works and is easy to use

Cons: Does not treat each DVI as a seperate monitor, no it looks to windows a one big Display.

so "Support Desktop clone or Extended Desktop" made me think that you could clone/extend your desktop individually to each of the 3 DVI monitors.

So it is basically the same as the Matrox TripleHeadToGo products.

Other Thoughts: Won't work with 3X 1920X1080 displays, though it says so in the description.

Doesn't meet my needs as I have 2 landscape montiors stacked vertically, with a portrait monitor on either side.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: I needed a creative way to connect two 24" 1920x1080 LED LCDs to my MacBook Pro since these new MBPs only have 1 display port. I have tried the USB "solutions" for adding monitors and they are poor quality at best.

Along with my laptop screen of 1680x1050, I now have an extended screen of 3840x1080 stretched over my two monitors. Due to the expanded screen space I keep my menu bar on the laptop screen, but that is a small price to pay for the ability to display a total of 6 windows of 80 character-width at the same time across the two monitors.

It appears to be a direct and digital pass-through of the display signal, characters, graphics, and colors are all absolutely crisp and accurate.

Productivity success!

Cons: The MBP only has two USB ports and the display port adapter sent by Cirago is too fat and blocks one of the USB ports. The leaves me with only one remaining USB port which I use for a powered USB hub. It would be nice if the adapter were thinner and did not limit the usage of the port.

Other Thoughts: Plug the USB connection into a powered USB hub (it seemed flaky otherwise) or directly into your computer.

For optimal results, make sure the USB is connected before you plug in the DisplayPort connection.

After it's operational, go into your display settings and make sure to increase the total resolution for your new second monitor. It typically defaults to the resolution of a single screen.
