Pros: works just great

Cons: no cons

Pros: Works well. I set up the switches (NTSC and RCA output), plugged it in and it was immediately detected by Windows 7 and my 660 Ti. Audio quality is top notch and I was able to get display on our old TV within minutes. It took a little tweaking to find a resolution it and my TV were happy with but it wasn't bad.

Cons: Two issues.
First; the TV appears too bright and the color is washed out. It's almost like there too many scan lines. I reduced the brightness on the display config in Windows to compensate but the scan-lines are still impacting image quality on both TVs/Cable sets I've tried it on. I'll keep researching/trying different resolutions/refresh rates though; there may be a fix for this issue I just haven't found yet.

Second; the device makes a lot of heat. I would be concerned with leaving the unit on all the time without helping it dissipate some of that heat.

Other Thoughts: The first HDMI cable I tried with this unit would not work without the use of a DVI->HDMI adapter on my graphics card. The cable was originally bundled with another piece of equipment and may have been missing certain conductors/functionality. A newer/higher quality HDMI cable solved the issues.
I have it sitting on an old CPU heatsink with another on top to solve the heat issue for now. I think I'll be adding a small fan to this thing once my return period runs out.
The problems other reviewers are describing sound like incorrectly set format switches (NTSC/PAL), resolution refresh rates, or cable problems.

Pros: works perfect with apple TV 2 and early generation LCD TV without HDMI port.

Cons: no component output.

Other Thoughts: RCA and S-Video limited resolution of output, it could be better if coming with component output.

Pros: Hooked this up to my HP laptop out to Tv. Worked as expected despite other reviews saying that it would not work with laptops. These people obviously didnt set the screen settings correctly. Just plug n play for me and worked like a charm. Picture quality was good. As good as s-video can be which is what I used.

Cons: Does get a little warm
