Pros: Dual hotswap power supplies, USB in front, lots of space for RAM, much quieter than similar servers. Ubuntu 12.04 server boots in less than 4 seconds on this box with an M4 SSD (after the POST is done.)
Cons: Installed DDR3 1600 RAM, but the motherboard only recognized it as 1066 on "auto." I had to modify the BIOS to force it to the 1600 speed RAM setting. Did a full memory test afterwards and passed with flying colors.
Other Thoughts: I own a ton of SuperMicro 1U servers and I love them, but this particular model has got to be my favorite, supporting fast CPU's, lots of memory and dual power supplies. Some recent SuperMicro I've purchased had issues with Ubuntu installs detecting the default ethernet port backwards from the BIOS PXE, making network installs difficult. This one installed and was up and running with no hitches. Also, if using SSD's I recommend the Icy Dock N82E16817994064 adapter, as it's the only one I found on Newegg that works properly with the hotswap bays.
