3 out of 5 eggsQuality cable though wish it was longer

Pros: high quality braided cable doing exactly what it says

Cons: Wish it were half a foot longer

Other Thoughts: I have bought three M1015 cards and six of these in a Norco 4224 chassis only to find out the cables don't reach the cards' ports properly. Having them two feet in length would make more sense instead of an odd 1.64 foot length so they reach to the back in the company's own chassis and then have a little extra for cards.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reasonable price. Worked great between my Adaptec 5805 RAID card and the backplanes in my Norco RPC-3216 cases.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I don't really get how other people can complain about the length of this cable when it is specified before you even buy it?? Do your homework people and don't discredit it because you failed to.

4 out of 5 eggsJust too short for RPC-4224

Pros: Work well with PCIe HBAs

Cons: Doesn't work well with PCIe HBAs and the Norco RPC-4224 - needs about another 50mm

1 out of 5 eggsToo short for Norco RPC-4220 case and IBM M1550

Pros: They probably work fine

Cons: I don't know who at Norco thought it's a good idea to sell these cables as they are so short that they cannot be used in the cases that they manufacture. I have an RPC-4220 and two IBM 1050 and I cannot connect the drives to the SATA controller because these cables are too short

5 out of 5 eggsQuality cable

Pros: It does have a solid feeling. Doesn't feel much different than the expensive ones. Can't beat for this price!

Cons: None, yet.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Cables

Pros: Well made, strong, sturdy

Cons: Short. These need to be longer to fit comfortably in a 4220 w/ a M1015 or other SATA/SAS card where the connectors are on the back end of the card.

Other Thoughts: If these had been 1.5 meter length cables, I'd never had to replace all 4 of them.

Sadly I spent 80 bucks on 4 of these, only to spend 40 on 4 replacements from Mono-price.

Don't skimp on length, get 1.5m for any server racked case and spare yourself some headaches.

5 out of 5 eggsGenuine Molex

Pros: This cable is made by Molex so it's as good as it gets.

Cons: A little expensive

Other Thoughts: If you want a cable that works this is the one. If something goes wrong with your setup this probably won't be the reason.

4 out of 5 eggsProtected SFF-8087 to SFF-8087

Pros: These cables have sturdy Molex ends on them that have a solid connection to the wires themselves. There is also a mesh sheath running over the cables to protect from sharp case edges and fan blades. I've stripped more shielding from more cables with cable channels in cases than I care to admit, so this is a pretty welcome addition. The sheath ends are attached to the ends of the cables with a good bit of heat-shrink tubing, so you could easily remove it if you wanted to.

Cons: The protective sheath over the cables keeps them from making sharp bends, so if your case is tight, or you need to bend cables through a channel you're going to have trouble.

Also, they are a little on the expensive side. Other sites have roughly the same cables for less, but I felt loyal to NewEgg.
