1 out of 5 eggsTerrible product

Pros: Absolutely none

Cons: Does not work with devices requiring power, despite the fact that it is a POWERED USB hub!!!

USB Hub does not allow for proper recognition of USB devices and thus unpowered devices do not work since the computer cannot run the needed drivers.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after second day

Pros: small size.

Cons: Died after second day. I am in the minority here, of course, but the thing has lost 2 of it's 4 ports.
Beware.

3 out of 5 eggsVery Short Cable

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: The cable coming out of the hub is only about 1 or 2 inches long and I had to get a usb extension to make it worth anything for my desktop. The plastic casing seems like it's going to come apart.

Other Thoughts: It works as it should but it would have been nice to know that the cord is only a couple inches.

2 out of 5 eggsBEWARE OUT OF WARRANTY

Pros: It fits into your pocket and is very portable. If it works reliably it will be nice to carry in the laptop case.

Cons: I bought 4 of these thinking it would be a nice product to sell to my customers who are short on USB ports. Well I tried installing it on my personal computer. The first port I installed in said it was defective. The second port said it was installed properly. Then I pulled it out and plugged it back into the same port. Now it says it is defective on that port too. So now I try it on my laptop and it works! Hooked up a external drive and worked well enough.

The USB Cord is like 2 inches long so that is bad and good. Good because tucks away nicely.

This comes with a power booster that plugs into a standard outlet if you need it. The cord on it is rather short too.

I decided I would keep the one I opened to put into laptop carrying case, but return the others. So I go back to Newegg and try to return it and I get this:

Unfortunately, our records indicate that the manufacturer's parts warranty for this product has expired.

Continued in other thoughts...

Other Thoughts: Please contact the product manufacturer for additional service options.

So it appears this product has been sitting around for awhile.

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 1 year

Pros: Slim, works well, compacts nicely

Cons: Died just after warranty period. Just like my other Zonet product...

Other Thoughts: I bought two of their products at the same time and used them regularly for about a year and they both bought the farm within 2 weeks of each other.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall but effective

Pros: Compact design, very light and good lenght power cord. It worked, not much more to ask of USB port.

Cons: Very very very short USB connector. However I still give 4 stars because for some this is an advantage as it tucks into the unit making it more portable and easy to pack away.

Other Thoughts: Newegg always has great service, they are very professional and a great business to deal with.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little hub

Pros: I like the sturdy metal build of the case.

Cons: The usb connecting cord is much to short.

Other Thoughts: If the cord was longer I would have rated this usb hub as excellant.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome...Worth every penny!

Pros: I have gone through several powered and non-powered USB hubs that could not handle all of the USB devices we use. This tiny little hub has more power then most powered hubs and after a few days I ordered a 2nd.

Cons: tiny - a pro for our laptop a con for my desktop. But no really cons.

Other Thoughts: I wish zonet made an identical one with a longer cord and 7 to 12 ports for desktop usuage.

4 out of 5 eggsPortable Hub

Pros: small, compact, and quick. great for transporting along with a laptop or from work and back.

Cons: If you're looking for a desktop hub, this isn't the hub for you. the cord is too short to reach most usb ports.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a regular hub and bought this one. Luckily I had some usb extension cables that allowed me to place the hub on my desktop. Seems like a great little hub besides the short usb cable
