5 out of 5 eggsExcellent switch, limited bandwidth

Pros: Immediate switching, small, convenient form factor and hard-wired cables, no external p/s needed

Cons: Limited video performance, pacaking says handles up to 1920x1200. Signal degradation is readily apparent at 1600x1200 or higher (remember this is an analog switcher, so additional capacitance and smearing are possible with reduced bandwidth)

5 out of 5 eggsReliable at 1920x1200

Pros: Still working after almost 5 years of use. Works with my 24" 1920x1200 monitor, a Dell laptop with dock, and a Linux box.

Cons: Only has 2 computer ports; had to retire it when I added a third computer and bought a 4 port KVM.

5 out of 5 eggsMost Reliable & Stable KVM

Pros: Works perfect in all my PS/2 keyboards & Mouses as well as USB to PS/2 (yes, those USB to PS/2 adapters will work with this Linksys).

All Logitech (PS/2), Microsoft (USB) & Gateway (USB) Keyboards and Mouses worked perfectly. No one freeze or flicker.

Cons: None really. The monitor cable fits in a bit snug (if you use the USB to PS/2 adapters), but not enough to worry me it about bending any pins.

Bought a second as a backup just incase it does eventually go faulty or break. That how rare of a find this is for it to work with all my PS/2 & USB Keyboards & Mouses.

Other Thoughts: I've tried the newest Belkin and I/O Gear KVM's (both for PS/2 and USB Keyboards & Mouses) and they do not work, period! You call their tech support up (I/O Gear or Belkin), give them the model number and they have no experience using the product so they have no idea how to troubleshoot them.

Linksys and of course as always NewEgg, Rocks!

3 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Works as advertised. Switches between two sources using keyboard. Can be set to alternate between two computers. Dwell time at each machine can also be programmed. Good for slow bit rate video only.

Cons: High bit rate video streams are seriously degraded.

Other Thoughts: Thanks newegg for quick shipping.

4 out of 5 eggsStill works

Pros: Still works after 5 years now.

Cons: Can't use USB mice or keyboard without an adapter.

Other Thoughts: Never wanted to run out and buy a separate keyboard, mouse, and monitor for the server. Much cheaper solution using a KVM.

4 out of 5 eggsIssues after some time

Pros: Worked just fine for 5 years with no issues at all

Cons: after using it 5 years one port died on me and I reckon I am not alone in this. Monitor output works though, just the keyboard and mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, not great

Pros: Simple, inexpensive.

Cons: No hardware switch (buttons), console ports too close together, doesn't last forever.

Other Thoughts: Been using mine for close to 4 years. Keyboard cable on one of ports has gone out. Seeing other reviews perhaps I should feel fortunate it has lasted this long? Not use monitor switching for past 2 years. Tried to use PS/2-USB adapter on my PS/2 mouse and/or keyboard; standard, normal adapter you can find for cheap; console ports too close together to allow adapter to fit with VGA.

5 out of 5 eggsJust What I Wanted

Pros: I have two computers I use all the time, so I had two monitors, keyboards, and mice. Now I can use my new 22" monitor on both and have gained alot of room.

Cons: I wish it would work on more than two computers, but for the price I really like it.

Other Thoughts: I have always used Linksys routers and have had good luck with them, so I tried their KVM. Well it works great for me.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Removed extra keyboard, mouse, and monitor from server work station. Connected two servers domain and sql together and makes the place look much cleaner.

Cons: none so far - helps if you read before installing.

5 out of 5 eggsreliable

Pros: This product does well for what it is intended to do. I have purchase it in the past and have found it to be very reliable.

Cons: Not really a con, but I like to see some sort of a stand or
velcro stick to hold it steady.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if you could use 2 usb ports in addition.
