5 out of 5 eggsGreat Box

Pros: Works perfect. Even works with very small letters and numbers on the screen. Small letters look clean.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I have a monitor on a computer and wanted the monitor to double as a security monitor. kvm switches needed power to run the switch. With this switch, hookup was much simpler.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple Solution

Pros: I've used these for years with no problem. It is a simple A-B dial - can't get more straightforward.

Feels sturdy.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You can pay quite a bit more for a fancier with with the same functionality.

As always, Newegg was great.

1 out of 5 eggsSevere signal degradation

Pros: Works like it says, simple and straightforward.

Cons: There is severe ghosting, as well as some type of flickering/refreshing issue that shows up watching movies through my PC. I don't notice it as much through my xbox for whatever reason, but with either of my PCs through the switch there is severe image problems.

Other Thoughts: For me it is unusable, but if you aren't picky about image quality it works.

2 out of 5 eggsGhosting?

Pros: Works and displays image on both channels.

Cons: Definitely getting ghosting that the others are talking about. I've tried buying new vga cables and everything but nothing changes the slight ghosting thats going on.

Other Thoughts: I'm using the switch to change between my xbox and computer all on my one lcd monitor. The ghosting might not be a big deal for some but for me its pretty much a bummer. I like a nice, crisp looking desktop and its got a blurry feel to it now.

Does what it says but overall decreases quality. I doubt its just the box. It may be a flaw in design. Either way, not worth the hassle to RMA this product in my honest opinion.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy construction, excellent feel.

Cons: None off hand.

Other Thoughts: Interference with the image on the screen caused by an older cable that I owned. Replacing the cable solved the issue. Wish it came with a cable so that I did not have to order a separate cable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's effective and durable. I've had one for years and I've never had a problem with it. When working on multiple computers with limited desk space this comes in very handy. No color loss, and I've never had any issues with higher resolutions. Switches back and forth between 1024x768 and 1280x1024 with no issues, as I run things at different resolutions. It doesn't require any additional power, just hook it up and forget about it.

Cons: It's a tad bit bulky, but It's never been a problem because it still fits under my monitor. If you're looking for somthing that's going to look nice and modern, this isn't for you. But chances are since you're still using VGA you're like me and don't mind keeping things a bit 1998.

Other Thoughts: I have an Xbox 360 and my computer's second monitor hooked up to it now. If I feel like playing the xbox, all I do is turn the switch, if I need to go back, I simply flip it again. I've got the Xbox at 1280x1024 and the computer at 1024x768 and there is no issue swappingn between the two. It's pretty useful and saved me alot of space and hassle either swaping out cables every time I want to use my xbox or buying and making room for another monnitor.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Works perfectly
Easy to set up
Simple
Easy to customize
Easy to use

Cons: Little bit of ghosting at first, but not anymore

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a simple and cheap way to use two computers with one monitor, this is PERFECT for you. I have a PowerMac G4 and a Dell Dimension 4100 that i use with one old Dell CRT. I hated having to screw and unscrew each time I changed computers, so I got this. It took me about 3 minutes to set up. I plugged in the input from the Mac and the PC and then the output to the monitor, plopped the thing on top of my monitor, wrote what computers were A and B in Sharpie on the front of the thing, and presto, I had a video switch. It did a little bit of ghosting while switched to the Mac at first, but it doesn't anymore. It never did while switched to the PC.

If you're looking for a cheap, easy-to-use, and reliable VGA video switch, this is the switch for you. I think it can also come with more inputs if you need them, but I don't right now.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works.

Cons: It took a while to setup because it wasn't send the picture correctly. It's only a VGA KVM switch.

Other Thoughts: Spend an extra $10 and get a KVM with Keyboard, Mouse and audio support.
