4 out of 5 eggsMore info

Pros: I said that I would report back if I discovered anything else. And I have. To keep the rebooting down(that 5% I said in my earlier post) you have to shut off any screen saver you have active. This seems to allow the KVM to get it together much faster. Now I don't know if the syncing is a part of a problem with my monitor, video card, motherboard, Windows. Maybe yours will sync faster

Cons: Only the ones I mention in my previous post.

Other Thoughts: If you need a KVM for 2 computers, again I say that you can't go wrong with this one.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Purchase

Pros: Built in hub allows for things like mouse, keyboard, and other peripherals (including other hubs) to be added. Also mic and earphone jacks. Sturdy build, all metal. Includes IR remote control , although I would have preferred either a wired switch or RF remote. Logitech G602 wireless mouse(dongle) works just fine in KVM hub. A TRENDnet TU2-H10 Hub with printers attached and an AOC e1649Fwu USB powered monitor plugged into the TRENDnet hub are working with no problems!! So far so good.

Cons: Now for the bad. The switch takes a few seconds to get the orientation straight. It will switch and sometimes dump the desktop from my new ACER K272HUL (2560 x 1440) monitor to the AOC USB powered monitor.(1366 x 768) Most of the time, (95%) it will correct itself. The other 5% you will have to reboot. Now don't panic! The other computer(at least mine) will not be affected. (DISCLAIMER: So far!!!) Also the provided cables are not varied or long enough for my tastes. I had to buy new after my original purchase. In my opinion it would be better for SIIG to indicate that NO CABLES ARE INCLUDED, (clearly noted on website, product description) lower the price and let the customer purchase the cables he or she requires. Just my two cents

Other Thoughts: I recently upgraded my system which included an IOGEAR KVM switch.(DVI) However, its' specs allow only a 1600x1280 monitor res. I got a 2560x1440 monitor and I knew that I would need Display Port to have everything work. So far it seems to be working without too many glitches. I promise to update if I find either problems or useful info concerning this product. Now I sure that there are other KVM switches out there that don't have any of the problems I mentioned. If you want to DONATE one of your KVM switches for me to test out, I will gladly do so. However at this price point (and I don't care whether you are a Fortune 500 company or like me just someone who wants to have a little convenience, I don't know if you can beat this KVM switch!! I hope I've conveyed my message about the product! It's Good!!
