1 out of 5 eggsSame design, same overheating problems

Pros: 7 usb ports, yea!

Cons: Surprised these are still on the market! Known fact that the USB controller chip in these overheats and should of at least had a massive heatsink & air flow.

Other Thoughts: Of the two I have on hand, one has been modded with a heat sink and still it reads over 105F on average in a 65F room, The other is well over that under use without a heat sink.

2 out of 5 eggsGood at first

Pros: * Lots of port
* Ports on top and back

Cons: * Died after about 2 years

Other Thoughts: I prefer for my electronic purchases to last until I end up giving them away to someone else. This one randomly works after a few years. It will cause my computer to not boot if plugged in and just the other day caused my right monitor to shut off and mouse/keyboard to quit responding.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST

Pros: I tried 4 different brand of USB Hubs and they all had some sort of flaws. First one was USB 3.0 (4 port) hub which the mini usb 3.0 broke off from the units back. Second one was USB 3.0 (4 ports) but this time it had the big square USB connector. Then after a month it started to restart and over heat. It freezes a lot so I bought the 3rd USB HUB 2.0 which lasted 2 weeks till the static shock from my finger killed it. 4th one was slow USB HUB. Then finally I saw this is shell shock and quickly bought it and ever since then this device was in use non stop 24/7 for months and still ticking. It took static like nothing, very tuff built and very fast (not as fast as USB 3.0 but stiff fast enough for my 3 USB to DVI device and 2 USB fash card and USB android and head set charger.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Buying another one now.
