5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: Purchased this for a upgrade in a editing machine for 3D models. Put it in tested with Mem86+ and no issues. ECC was a bonus as well.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for macs

Pros: Cheap fully-buffered memory for Mac Pro towers. 8GB OF IT!

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I think I saw some memory labeled for mac pros for $700. Rediculous! This beefed my mother's Mac Pro from the factory 2 GB to 10 GB. Makes a world of difference and was cheap. Fast shipping as always.

2 out of 5 eggsFinally: dissapointed by Kingston.

Pros: The RAM is blazingly fast.

Cons: One (or both) of the sticks seemed to start failing 3 days ago. Sometimes, I can run my computer five (less even?), or ten minutes before I start getting hangs. The hangs last for 30 seconds, or so, and get progressively worse until my system comes to a complete hang. The hangs (before complete halt) seem to release just briefly enough to spot movement in the mouse before it goes into another hang.

I have done some testing by removing these two sticks, and leaving in my other two original sticks with no problems. I have also tried moving the new sticks to the slots that the original sticks are in, and remove the original sticks; the hangs still appear.

The sticks run at around 32c with a RAM fan over them, so heat isn't the issue.

The symptoms occur both in Windows 7, and Ubuntu 10.10 (although, I'm able to play around quite a bit longer in Ubuntu).

I have had these sticks exactly two months, at the time of writing.

My RMA period is past, but I plan on returning to manuf

Other Thoughts: Just wanted to re-iterate that these sticks are a great buy for the price (in theory), but I'm deeply saddened that they have failed me after only two months.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job!

Pros: Worked perfectly well on a Dell PowerEdge 2950. Worked so well I decided to upgrade the machine with another CPU, so I can fit 2 more of those kits (8x4G, 32G in total). Superbe!

Cons: A bit expensive, but it is server memory after all.

Other Thoughts: A great buy!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat memory

Pros: Had purchased two of these kits for our Dell 2950 servers to use the Hyper-V Server and the memory worked flawlessly for over a year now. We upgraded to Hyper-V R2 and added 6 more of these kits for the same Dell servers and a few SuperMicro SYS-6015V-MTB systems we have. The memory works great in both of them.

The Dell 2950 likes memory in even pairs 2, 4 or 8 or it will complain about it being an unsupported configuration. The SuperMicro does not seem to care much other than you use pairs.

Cons: I couldnt buy more.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: I bought the 2GB version of this kit about a year and a half ago for a server I run at home. I just purchased this larger kit to bring my server up to a total of 10GB. The two kits play nice together and I'm very happy with both kits.

A lot of users are talking about heat related issues / concerns. Honestly, if you're running a server of any kind and you're thinking about this kind of memory you should run a memory cooler regardless. It's sort of a preventative tactic.

I run a Corsair memory cooler on mine (linked below) that keeps my ram at good temps.

Cons: None, Kingston is always a solid choice.

Other Thoughts: I run this memory on an Intel S5000VSA. Never had any issues.
