3 out of 5 eggsWorked great while it worked!

Pros: Good amount of space for what you pay.
Superb warranty(you'll probably need it!)

Cons: Device eventually fails(I bought it back April 27 2010). So I got over a year with it, and it was well used!)

Transfer speeds are a little lackluster

Other Thoughts: I love how kingston stands behind there memory products for at least 5 years. I replaced my first 16gb flash drive from them not too long ago also. The SD card worked great in a variety of cameras and devices(canon sd1400, Nikon D60, boot drive for netbook, etc..) But now the poor thing only can be read by one of the readers in my household, everything else can't see the SD when it is inserted. So I took some snap shots of the card and put in for an RMA, Kingston has been good to me on all RMA's, so has Canon.

1 out of 5 eggsSD4 cards do not work

Pros: none that I know about

Cons: I find that SD4 memory cards will not work in my Nikon 7900 camera. SD2 cards work just fine.

The SD4 card does seem to work with my PC and in other places, however.

Other Thoughts: It is disappointing that I had no warning, nor can I find one, about this. That is why I went ahead with the purchase.

It would be nice if I could return it or trade it in for the 2x2GB memory which I also bought. But the hastle for a return is not worth it.

2 out of 5 eggs1 out of 6 worked

Pros: Patriot 8GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model PSF8GSDHC6 1 did work out of 6. These cards are being used in a video recorder that we have used for several years and haven't had any problems with 8 or 16 gig card since they have been on the market. We have used the Patriot brand the most.

Cons: Five did not work of the above 6 cards. I thought it could be a product problem, but since I have tried Kingston 8Gig(Class 4) and they don't work at all. I will need to find another brand that will work in this recorder.

Other Thoughts: Since I opened all of the packages can I get a credit to apply to a card that does work. When I find one.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent budget card

Pros: Quite cheap. Works with Windows 7 ReadyBoost. I sort of blindly bought one of these hoping it would work. I also bought one for my camera a Sony DSC-W370, and its really nice in there. I normally have to wait 30+ seconds between photos and this card got it down to just a few seconds.

Cons: Write speed is slow. I've owned several SanDisk 8GB class 4's and these are ridiculously slow in comparison. Copying something that would normally take 60 seconds or less on a SanDisk takes 5+ minutes on this Kingston. Then if you try to start two copy processes the card just about dies on you. Literally, I was transferring about 50mb of files, a supposed 60 seconds left, tried to copy a 3mb file, and both processes jumped up to ~14+ hours and essentially froze?! Yet as I said before, with my camera its quite zippy. I guess it just likes one file at a time?

I also bought several Kingston 4GB class 4 microSDs, blow this thing out of the water speed wise. Weird? Same reader and all.

Other Thoughts: I'm normally a Sandisk snob, actually, I own several 8GB Ultra II's. Two reasons I went away from them 1. they are crazy overpriced compared to other companies, like ~30% overpriced, and 2. the few the ones that aren't overpriced online are usually counterfeits. I decided not to bother with it.

However, as I essentially got two of these for the price of one comparable SanDisk, I really can't complain. Double the price and you could also get a Kingston 16GB, which performs about the same (I really went memory card crazy this time). Once the data is on the card, the read speeds are quite decent.

A note about ReadyBoost, make sure to format it to exFAT if you're using it for ReadyBoost, NTFS doesn't work with ReadyBoost on this card for some reason.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, Does all I expected

Pros: Super fast. I use this to boot up my video games (including WoW) from my ASUS Eee Netbook. Does wonders.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: First time using a SDHC card instead of a regular old SD card and I absolutely love the improved speed.
