5 out of 5 eggsSecond RAM buy, works great

Pros: Great price per GB ($7.875)
Works with the S1200BTSR Intel motherboard
8GB x 1

Cons: Unbuffered (Not really an issue for a 1U server)
Cas latency is 9 (Not really a big deal, but the lower the better)
1333MHz (Again, not really a big deal, but the higher the better aswell)

Other Thoughts: I originally bought RAM for my server and the server would not go past POST. I called up Intel and we found out the POST error code was a RAM issue. After some more time I got some models of RAM that would work with the server. (I was not happy I spent $200 of RAM for nothing, well it worked in one of my other servers, so not a total loss) anyways this RAM works so well and if I were to ever buy RAM again, it would be this RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsit works!

Pros: it's memory it works. It's well test and it operates great. Have two of these in my 1u server. they never get hot and are very compilable with the motherboard. Excellent speed for ecc memory.

Cons: None it's memory. As long as you know how to read numbers you can match memory.

Other Thoughts: but it, and buy lots of it, because it's memory and you need lots of it for servers, or high end workstations. Make sure your motherboard can accept an 8GB stick and be sure that it matches the speed of the motherboard socket.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in N40L and N54 micro Proliant HP servers

Pros: Work fine in HP Proliant G7 micro servers - tried out in N40L and N54L (Thurion dual core CPUs, 1.5GHz and 2.2GHz). Both servers are listed as supporting 8GB max, both recognize at least two of these modules (16GB installed in the two sockets)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: WHS2011 and FreeNAS 9.3 are OK but WHS2011 is lobotomized to only use 8GB of the available RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM, will buy more

Pros: Reliable, good brand, 8GB on one stick. I own two, and will buy another soon

Cons: Relatively costly, but that's what it costs when you buy unbuffered RAM for a server

5 out of 5 eggsworks in HP Z800

Pros: Reasonable price. Works fine.

Cons: Not registered / buffered in case that's what you need.

Other Thoughts: We used this RAM in an Autodesk Flame Premium on a Z800 dual proc. The slots (per processor) were filled as follows: 1. 8GB 2. 2GB 3. 4GB 4. 1GB 5. 2GB 6. 1GB. Total RAM: 36GB (18 per CPU). Our existing RAM was unbuffered so I had to go with something like this, and it seems to work fine. I'm sure there's some speed loss due to not optimizing them as triple-channel banks, but we're ok with that.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in ASUS RS100-E7

Pros: It works.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have been searching for memory that can max out the ASUS RS100 1U servers and this RAM works out of the box with the ASUS RS100-E7.
