2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't seem to work for SDHC

Pros: Solid, good for phone base and to stay put on the desk for 1-handed insertion/removal of cards.

Works fine for my several 1GB/2GB SD cards.

Cons: Does not work for my 8GB SDHC card. Any operations against it result in indefinitely hung command and flashing led. Must remove card or USB to get command to return.

I know this card works fine, I have another SDHC reader that works with it.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tested the phone docking behavior yet, I'm hoping it works.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes everything I wanted

Pros: Looking for a dock to charge my phone while working a simple card reader so this 2 in one combo came in very handy.

Cons: I wasn't able to get the audio out to work. It could possibly be that audio / video out only work if your not connected to the apple dock via usb.

Other Thoughts: Didn't test the S-video out

1 out of 5 eggsNot great

Pros: weight, it's nice and heavy (which is a good thing)

Cons: Extremely slow transfer speeds. Couldn't believe how slow it was transferring raw images from my CF card. Plugged in a 5 year old cheapo card reader and it was 5x faster.

Not good for Ipod touch or Iphone.. It'll fit, but it comes with no adapters, so it just sits loosely in the base. seems like the connecter would easily snap off if you bumped it because it fits so loose.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't live without this now.

Pros: Super easy to install, just plug two cables into the back of the unit, In my case they were already plugged into the computer and just laying there waiting for the card reader. Windows XP instantly recognized it. Works with all the cards I own. Ipod dock works with the following, IPOD NAno both first and fifth generation units, IPOD Video 120 gig unit, IPOD Touch 2nd generation.

Cost of the unit, $12.99
Cost of Shipping $2.99
Getting lost photos from a Sony Cybershot camera that died, PRICELESS!
Gratitude from lovely wife..Priceless!

Cons: Didn't buy this last year.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't take up much space on my desk, I always know where my IPOD is. If you use an adapter cable you can play your IPOD thru your home stereo unit, or with an S-Video cable can play movies thru a TV. (Picture quality isn't the best at all though due to low resolution)

3 out of 5 eggsOkay - If it fit

Pros: Just received my dock. Its got some weight to it, which is nice. A lot of docks have no weight and its tough to remove your iPod/iPhone. I like the card reader on the front and I like the audio out on the back (although Im using an iPhone audio cable).

Cons: This will not work if you have a case. Even a very slim silicon case (like I have) will not work. For the price though, im going to just take a dremel and make it a bit bigger. The problem comes into play where the sides of the unit are. They don't give you much room for cases that make the iphone thicker (left to right) then it actually is. So thats why it doesnt fit. It does seem to fit fine however on the bottom where the dock is.

Other Thoughts: For the price, seems like a good buy. Just be warned if you do use a case you may need to adjust it like me, as even with a very small silicon case, it doesnt fit.

It gets a 3 because of this. Other docks accomodate silicon cases, this one doesnt.
