1 out of 5 eggsPNY Attaché 2 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model P-FD128TBAT2-GE

Pros: none

Cons: PNY Attaché 2 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive appeared to work the first day I received it. I set the drive on a shelf and did try to use it for a couple of days. today i inserted the PNY Attaché 2 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive into one of my computers and no detection of device was found. i proceeded to try on two other desktop computers that i own. the 2 computers I tested the PNY Attaché 2 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive on did not detect the device either.

Other Thoughts: none

1 out of 5 eggsArrived DOA

Pros: None. Never worked.

Cons: Dead on Arrival. Now I have to pay to ship the dead unit back to Newegg. Should have stayed with reliable Sandisk products.:(

4 out of 5 eggsFast, and pretty big

Pros: USB3, fast enough when connected via usb3

Cons: Not long after getting this drive it was plugged into the back of an iMac, ever since then it is tricky to get working on usb3. I tend to have to fiddle with it a little bit to get it recognized.

Other Thoughts: I generally use this for a quick file cache for transferring files so I don't need to drag a portable HDD around. My work around for the fiddling problem was to use a small usb2 extender, and the remedies the problem, but slows the drive to usb2. I also bought this drive on sale, for about 20USD less than currently advertised, and at that price even for usb2 it was a pretty good deal.

4 out of 5 eggsNice big flash

Pros: Lots of inexpensive storage for a flash.

Cons: A bit slow.

Other Thoughts: It just works. I immediately filled it with much of my photo library and emptied it to my laptop. It works fine. I've been through this cycle a few times now with no problems.

Real world flash drive speeds are never as advertised and this drive is no different. Seems fairly robust so far & I expect it to last quite a while.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great price. Very Fast

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Fast, Cheap. Looks Great. I have been using this thumb drive for over 3 months now and I am very impressed. It is very, very fast on USB 2.0 or USB 3.0. Had no problems with that device.

3 out of 5 eggsPNY Attaché 2 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model P-FD128TBAT2-GE

Pros: Large Size. Not really as large as claimed. Finally got it to work (I think).

Cons: Had to be formatted several times before it "took". Not even close to the size stated.

Other Thoughts: Have had drives that were this unfriendly before and long term they were not good.

1 out of 5 eggspainfully slow at first, then died quickly

Pros: Was able to retrieve my data via Easeus Data Recovery.....

Cons: .....See review title. I've owned PNY USB 2.0 flash drives with faster write speeds and they still work. Stay away from this one.

Other Thoughts: What the fark ever happened to quality control???

1 out of 5 eggsPortable Recycle Bin

Pros: Fast transfers when it worked.
Good price for the size.

Cons: Only worked once to store the data. When I tried to retrieve it, nothing was there, just an empty drive icon.
There should be a big orange sticker on all flash drives saying, "Warning, You Definitely Will Lose All Data Stored on Here." These companies act like your data isn't worth anything. Now I need a backup for my backup.

Other Thoughts: There needs to be a burn in test like they used to do with PC's. Maybe that will reduce the number of bad ones passed on to consumers.
I'm sure a class-action lawsuit would get their attention.

4 out of 5 eggsGood when I got one that worked

Pros: Bargain prices, slim size fits slots better, USB3.0

Cons: No lanyard, No activity light, slower than advertised

Other Thoughts: The first one of these I bought had a scrambled brain. It could not decided whether or not it wanted to work. Would spontaneously un-mount and read write speeds were unpredictable. Newegg replaced the device and new one is working just fine. I am not getting as fast a speed as is advertised, but that is to be expected. It is, however, faster than my current Mushkin 64GB which came with a lanyard and an activity light. I took off one egg because the first one was borked!
