1 out of 5 eggsShort life

Pros: Included reader
Fast enough to record HD on my camera

Cons: Died after 10 months, used maybe 20-30 time
Card died while unloading picture to PC, taking everything with it.

Other Thoughts: Tried reformating using the utility on Transcend web site, and it always fails. Tried different readers: same result. Even if I could format it, why risk losing more pictures.

I have Sony memory sticks that are over 10 years old and SanDisk that are 7-8 y/o that still work, but Transcend can make one that lasts 10 months.

This was my first (and last) Transcend product, will go back to buying more established brands.

2 out of 5 eggsProblems...

Pros: Inexpensive 32GB SDHC

Cons: Only works in *some* devices...

Other Thoughts: Works fine with the included USB reader, but not in current generation Sony cameras. I thought my new camera was bad, but when I brought the camera in to be replaced, they tried the card in lots of different models. It worked in some, but not in others. None of the Sonys worked. To prove it to me, they gave me a Panasonic 2GB card, and that's worked flawlessly.

What I found most disturbing was that the card seemed to kind of work for the first few days, but I was getting occasional errors. After that, the camera wouldn't even startup with that card in. Reformatting elsewhere didn't help. But in the devices it works with, I haven't seen any problems...

Maybe I just got a bad one, but I thought I should see if others are having the same problems...

2 out of 5 eggsBe wary

Pros: Great Price
Comes with a reader

Cons: Prone to failure

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these about 2 months ago and use them for wedding cinematography. As you can imaging the one shot or bust pressure means you need to have reliable equipment.

About a month ago one of the cards starting acting up and would becoming unreadable. I had to format the card and then use "Recuva" to recover the lost files. The software it comes with didn't do a good enough job of retrieving it. The software works if you accidentally format, but wouldn't retrieve a corrupted card.

Since it was intermittent I kept it around as an absolute back up until I could get another card. Well I tested it out the other day and it totally packed it in with about 6gb's of footage on it. Thankfully not to important stuff, but my computers don't even read it anymore. It just freezes up my computer until I pull the card out.

I thought they were great at the beginning but now I say if you are shooting video with it. Buyer beware.

1 of 2 cards is to high a risk to take for the great pric

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card, good price

Pros: Excellent product at a good price.
Personal track record with Transcend CF and SD cards.
Speed of the card is excellent.

Cons: None. Unless you miss those cards that boast they're extremely extreme.

Other Thoughts: I've shot digital for 11 years. The Canon 20D was my first DSLR and move up. I bought expensive cards, then bought an 8 gb Transcend, quick and reliable.

It's been my brand since then, reinforced by independent testing show it on a par with any. It was not a well known
brand at the time, primarily selling to rebranders.

I moved to a 5D and a 5D MkII and always stuck with the largest card Transcend sold in CF. I moved to 16gb, then 32gb. I now have four 32s and use Transcend SDHC in our smaller cameras. I'm using this one in a Canon S90 can provide RAW images and the other byte-hogging ways I prefer.

I frequently shoot the multiple images needed for HDR images or Panoramas. I always shoot RAW WITH in camera jpgs. These are huge chunks of data and the Transcends handle them without a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsJust What I Needed!

Pros: 32GB at a great price!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is my 2nd Transcend card and I plan to make it my go to brand. I put this card in my Sony DSC-TX7 and it works perfectly with photos and HD video. The USB reader makes it even better.
