1 out of 5 eggsRMAed twice already

Pros: Average reading/writing speed when it works

Cons: The 1st card failed after 7 days of light use (about 2000 pics by Nikon D5100). RMA process took about 3 weeks. 2nd card failed 2 weeks ago (not recognized by either D5100 nor PC) only after about 300 pics written. Really disappointed with this product and brand. I have never RMAed a memory card twice in my whole life.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention as it is very rare that a customer has 2 RMAs in a row. Please contact Transcend Technical Support and let us know how the cards came to fail and we'll be happy to help you troubleshoot them or RMA them.

3 out of 5 eggsTranscend 16GB SDHC Card

Pros: Gets the Job done, It's 16GB, Holds almost 500 RAW Format pictures

Cons: Went bad only 1 year after purchase. The Card literally just fell apart. So I lost 8GB of photo's. Thank you Transcend!

Other Thoughts: It was a great card while it lasted. Admittedly I'm hard on all my cards, But I expected more out of a name brand company that I've bought from before and never had a problem like this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speed for the money

Pros: Just got the cards today, ATTO benchmark gives very good numbers, far exceeding Class 10 specifications. Mainly for use in a camera with Full HD video and more interested i write speeds than read speeds which will definitely be higher than the write speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Card

Pros: I own two of these. Using this in a Panasonic Gh-1 hacked, so my camera is writing faster than standard. This card has had no problems keeping up recording at any resolution or fps.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Great price and solid speed.

5 out of 5 eggsAbout as advertised

Pros: Reformated to NTFS it transfers at about 15MB/s write and 15MB/s read, faster at the beginning of the file. I used a 5GB tf2 gcf file for this test.

This was done using the Ricoh R5C843 card reader integrated into a T61p thinkpad.

Cons: Device clearly meets it's class 10 spec, but the "Up to 20MB/s" listed on the package is a little optimistic as enumerated above.

4 out of 5 eggsA little slow for an SLR

Pros: Cheap, fast enough for a P&S camera (Canon SX230HS) and 720p video.

Cons: Not really fast enough for an SLR if you frequently shoot RAW, burst mode or a large amount of pictures at a time.

Other Thoughts: I have this card and a Sandisk class 10/UHS-1, both 16GB for my Canon T2i (550D). When you're downloading +100 pictures at a time you'll appreciate the extra speed of the Sandisk. Spend a few extra $$ and get a Sandisk class 10 card instead.
Have also used this without any issues in a Canon SX230HS. Like most P&S cameras, it doesn't do RAW or burst, so speed is less important versus an SLR.
