2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very fast - operates at advertised speeds as long as it is formatted as FAT32.

Cons: Expensive.
Cap always falls off and WILL eventually get lost.
If there is a rebate, ADATA may try to rip you off.

Other Thoughts: First of all, drive is blazing fast when it is formatted as FAT32. If you format it as another file system (i.e., NTFS or exFAT), you will lose a lot of the speed. If I were basing this review just on the speed, it would be 5 eggs.

I bought this drive because there was a rebate, and I filled the rebate info out immediately. A few months later, I get a letter in my PO Box stating that they can't send the rebate check/card because it is a PO Box. Let me say that again - they sent a letter TO MY PO BOX saying that they couldn't send the rebate to my PO Box. So it looks like I got ripped off on the rebate. Very sneaky, ADATA. -2 eggs for this

Also, like others state, the cap comes off very easily and you will eventually lose it. I think I have lost the cap more times than I have actually used the drive, and now I think that it is probably in a parking lot somewhere. Just an overall bad design. -2 eggs for that.

Overall, this is a good flash drive, but I am hesitant to recommend it for the above reasons.

3 out of 5 eggsA Little Disappointed

Pros: 32GB is a quite a bit of storage for a thumb drive and the actual Read/Write speeds are certainly better than most.

Cons: Pricey, Very Pricey. Also, I don't feel as though the actual Read/Write Speeds justify such a high price.

Other Thoughts: I was actually quite disappointed with the Read/Write speeds of the drive. This is my third USB 3.0 thumb drive of at least 16GB or larger and the Read/Write speeds only scored a Silver Medal in this three device race. To make matters worse, the Winner of the Gold almost lapped the silver medalist..

4 out of 5 eggsExpensive, and Fast

Pros: Speed

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: (Renesas USB 3.0 controller, NTFS 4k format)
in ATTO benchmark, 32k-8192k shows 40-50MB/s write and 110-140MB/s read.
4k read/write is 20MB/s

4 out of 5 eggsFastest for the price and size, but cap is easy to lose.

Pros: Very fast transfer of large files. Smaller than most other high-performance USB flash drives.

Cons: Chokes when transferring many small files. While smaller than other high-performance drives, it is still too bulky to comfortably carry on a keychain. The cap *will* fall off if you keep it in your pocket all day. The "key chain" hole is too wide to work well with a keyring, but it works with a lanyard, if that make sense.

Other Thoughts: Performance Test (real world files)

Test1: A single zipped file totaling ~700MB
Read speed = 170 MB/s
Write speed = 45 MB/s

Test2: 1600 small files totaling 1000MB
Read speed = 15 MB/s
Write speed = 8 MB/s

Notice the huge speed difference between transferring one large file versus many small files. This is still much faster than normal flash drives. For comparison, my San Disk Cruzer Micro 16GB drive wrote those same 1600 files at only 2 MB/s and read them at only 4 MB/s. Excruciatingly slow! This drive is MUCH MUCH faster, but don't expect it to blow your mind when transferring many small files. No flash drive in this price range and size-class can handle small files very well.

Moral of the story: If you've got lots of small files to transfer, it may be faster to zip them into a single file before transferring them.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!

Pros: Great little flash drive!
I shouldn't say little because it's 32 GB device and it's a bit larger than most flash drives I have. But I would imagine that they go hand-in-hand due to the multiple nand chips inside.
I love the fact that this flash drive does not contain any bogus software on it. Some companies like to load their drives will tons of useless software that hinders performance and makes usability suffer as a result.
The drive came VERY fast with the free 2-day shipping.
I got this and the drive came in a very nice white box with a very appealing picture of a humming bird on it. It felt almost like Christmas opening up the box, I couldn't wait to have my hands on it.
As of now I have the drive limited to a USB 2.0 port, but I should hardly say its limited. This little drive is topping out my 2.0 with near 36 mb/s read AND Write speeds! Sadly this number drops dramatically when writing small random 4k files at about 9mb/s. Needles to say I'll be buying a usb 3.0 card soon!

Cons: As great as this device may be, there are setbacks to it as well. The obvious drop in read/write speed when dealing with small files, such as multiple text documents or pictures, is major as well as some others.
Sadly this did not come with a small lanyard, price is not a issue as most are only $3-5, but that it would be nice to have it come with it making it harder to lose or drop.
Speaking of dropping, the drive comes in this attractive aluminum body with a titanium brushed finish. Which just so happens to provide no grip or impact support at all. Within a few hours of having it I dropped it and the small plastic cap housing the usb popped out allowing me to see inside the aluminum housing. Nothing a little superglue didn't fix. The actual cap seems to pop off with even the slightest tap allowing for easy loss. Lastly the usb has no indicator light showing data transfer.

Other Thoughts: The drop in speed with smaller files is to be expected and the lanyard is a cheap buy. The indicator led is a let-down but not a major one. Over all great buy with a great transfer rate and lifetime support!
Recommend completely.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Simple design, huge capacity, and fast transfers. I havn't had a chance to try it out on a USB 3.0 port, but the device is still really fast on USB 2.

Cons: The device is a little large, about the size of a flattened tube of lip stick - probably owing to more than one NAND chips inside accounting for the large size.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied with this purchase! Repartitioned with 90% storage, 10% where I can put OS installers.
