Excellent Jumpdrive
- Pros: Fast! I benchmarked and compared against a generic 2GB drive. The Patriot Drive performed on HD Tach: 31.2 MB/s Avg Read - 10MB/s Avg Write. Generic drive 17.6 MB/s Avg Read - 2.4MB/s Avg Write.
- Cons: I agree with the other reviewer that the rubber loop to which the lanyard attaches should be stronger. So don't yank the drive out by the lanyard.
- Other Thoughts: As a network engineer I need a lot of portable apps to do my juob. This drive is speedy and roomy. Newegg service just rocks. Order arrived a day early. I am a frequent NewEgg customer. Both drives were formated NTFS.

- Other Thoughts: if you get the WRITE PROTECTED error, it means your file is too big for the FAT32 file system. it happened to me when i tried to transfer a file larger than 4GB, if you keep your file under 4 gb then it'll work. ALTERNATIVELY, you can format the drive in NTFS format to put files 4GB or larger, however, with NTFS you're going to have to "safely remove" the drive each time because NTFS does disk caching
