3 out of 5 eggsNot as fast as I hoped

Pros: Micro SD reader is handy

Cons: not as fast as it claims for all files

Other Thoughts: I used various test files including 5M MP3 files, 500M video files and 5G compressed files with Teracopy. A packet based file utility that replaces Windows copy/move function. On the MP3 and MP4 files it moved the files at a rate of 14M/s, but the moment I tried compressed files (RAR, Zip, 7z), the speed dropped to 768k/s on the move but the read/test portion ran at 17M/s. Teracopy first breaks the file down into packets then moves them similar to how a peer to peer system works. Then it performs a CRC check (can be turned off) to check the file was moved/copied correctly. The move/copy portion only ran at 14M/s for small files and less than 1M/s for large compressed files, but both read/test phase of Teracopy both ran between 14-17M/s.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as fast as it claims

Pros: The micro SD reader worked as expected.

Cons: SD adapter was unusually snug and it felt like I had to jam it in, to get it in.

Other Thoughts: As a class 10 card we expect minimum 10 M/s which was what it was for small uncompressed files. I tried audio, video, documents, PDF's and various compressed formats (RAR, ZIP,7z) as a test with Teracopy as a testing platform because it reports true bit-rates per second activity. Regular documents, PDF's and even audio files fluctuated between 14M and 19M per second. The moment I began testing video files (MP4, AVI, MOV) the speed locked in at 10M/s... But the worse was copying/moving compressed files (RAR, Zip, 7z), the speed dropped to a 768k/s for the move process, but the test process was 14M/s. Teracopy is a file utility to replace Windows move/copy function by utilizing multi-packettes to move a single file to increase speed. Then it does a CRC test to ensure the file got copied/moved correctly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for being USB2

Pros: Was fairly cheap and included a microSD to USB and microSD to SD adapters. Maintained 10MB write and 20MB read on most larger file sizes.

Cons: Speed drop under 10MB/s quickly on small files however this shouldnt be a big deal on most mobile or camera applications.

Other Thoughts: Raw stats from "USB Flash Benchmark" using the supplied USB2 to microUSB converter:

16384k:6 Average Write Speed:10.61MB/s
16384k:6 Average Read Speed:19.82MB/s
256k:40 Average Write Speed:8.91MB/s
256k:40 Average Read Speed:19.68MB/s
32k:320 Average Write Speed:5.05MB/s
32k:320 Average Read Speed:14.87MB/s
16k:320 Average Write Speed:3.34MB/s
16k:320 Average Read Speed:11.24MB/s
2k:2560 Average Write Speed:0.17MB/s
2k:2560 Average Read Speed:2.38MB/s

1 out of 5 eggsNot What You'd Expect

Pros: It DOES transfer at Class 10 speeds, and the readers works with every card I have at the moment.
Read speeds are well above what you'd expect.

Cons: If in a cell phone (at least a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket) the write speeds will drop to 0 randomly, causing the data to be corrupt (this happened with my music - a HUGE trespass)
Needs to be used with the adapters to transfer files at consistent speeds (873kB/s to 11.7MB/s), which is likely NOT what this device is intended for

Other Thoughts: I haven't gotten annoyed/fed up enough to replace this drive, but may soon. If you just want a 32GB memory card and don't mind shutting down your device, or don't need to worry about filling up your devices internal storage, then this is a good cost/value purchase.

I would not recommend Patriot flash drives in the future, but I DO recommend their SSDs. The one in my boyfriend's gaming computer is just fine. He hasn't complained about the machine being slow for over three years (until Flight Simulator 9 spazzes).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: works well - used in a Xperia x12 - reaches speeds about 7MB/s .. But I think that it is because of the phone interface.. pretty sure that with the USB reader included it reches the 10MB/s

Cons: don't have any .. small .. so far works.. no cons.. for your phone, ideal!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Used this card to root my Nook Color, much much faster than a standard miniSD (non-Class 10), works as intended, plenty of space for apps, music, etc. Price was right.

Cons: It's so tiny!
