RUN, Dont walk from this product..
- Pros: Nice rubber casing, and er, um, well, okay not much more to say nice about it.. It's junk
- Cons: Lasted about a few weeks then dies, I've returned it twice and now returned shipping has cost more than the drive! Could have bought a Sandisk once for what this junk cost me. My old 512k Sandisk is about 4 yrs old and works every time. Customer service is ssllloowww if they get to you at all. First time it was just slow, the second time I had to post a neg review here to get some attention, then they were all about helping me after 3 months, so I get a new one after a few weeks and that one broke. I know people say it is becuase it's rubber and bends, but mine was never in my pocket, it was in my desk draw all the time. So while bending may be another issue, simple using it is enough to kill it. I wont use another OCZ product again. I asked last time for an upgrade and never got even a price difference to pay, they just sent me the same junk.
Mine was a 16 gig but that product is gone so I posted my complaint here, which is the same blue rubber one, just 8 gig
- Other Thoughts: Buy another product from another company.
A piece of junk
- Pros: Look nice. Nice Idea but very poor design.
- Cons: Own the 16gb version and over the last year have had to send back 4. If you carry in a pocket drive breaks because the drive has not internal support where the usb connector connects the the PC board.
- Other Thoughts: I have spent more in return shipping then I paid for the drive originally. If I could would give -5 rating. Presently still waiting for the 5th to come back. I have told them through emails that it needs to be redesigned.
Don't buy if you want to keep your data
- Pros: Rubber outside at least gives the impression of sturdiness. Worked fine for a year.
- Cons: After a year of use it finally died on me. Unfortunately I had important data on it. I probably used it a total of 20 times and definitely did not neglect or even drop it. The "keychain" is junk and will break so don't think you're going to put this on your keys or belt buckle.
- Other Thoughts: Customer service at OCZ is a mixed bag. They are responsive but it literally took 3 shipment and 2 months of emails to get a new keychain (first one broke in 2 weeks). It promptly broke within a few days. I just decided not to use it.
