4 out of 5 eggsLong Lasting Drive

Pros: It's still living in 2014, three years later from the original purchase.

Cons: There was this one chance event when the SSD just suddenly lost all of the data (It would not show as a drive under windows). After a format though, it's still working fine. All the more reason why back ups are important. I had to knock an egg off for that.

Other Thoughts: Still living with a i5 2500K on a Z67 chipset. Aside from the random data loss in the cons section, it still works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsgood choice

Pros: fast; even i use it with sata 3G/S motherboard. boot up win2008R2 from 1.5T WD is 2min20 sec;
ghost to M2P and boot up only 53sec.

Cons: after i buy it, the Plextor and 2012 CES show M3P will be sell in next 2 month. and the speed will be more faster.
:(

Other Thoughts: if plextor has the PCI-E SSD in the future, I will consider it.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality is not expensive; it's priceless.

Pros: Easy straightforward installation, fast, overall feel of quality - even the packaging. Cloned the old drive in 6 minutes! Did one firmware upgrade and then looked on in awe. Speed is mind boggling.

Cons: You gotta' be kidding me! This SSD rocks!

Other Thoughts: It amazes me that ppl complaining about the price still gave this drive 5 eggs and one person gave it 4 eggs with no complaints. Well, duh! Plextor has down through the years maintained a great product line. This is my second SSD. First was another good product, Intel 320 120g, received as a gift. I WILL buy Plextor in the future. NewEgg also gets a 5 egg rating for the great service.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plugged it in, installed mac osx lion (hackintosh) with no issues. 2nd SSD I've owned, this computer was for a friend. I still currently use a older one, that is still working. Don't worry about it failure, this thing should run for 10 years.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This brand seems more reliable then ocz, corsair etc. but then their may be more people buying those having more issues.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Stable

Pros: I had a Corsair X64 extreme SSD from 2009 for awhile now it was plenty fast but I dunno if felt it was getting a little slow + I wanted more space. So I started doing my research on new SSD's and saw a ton of SATA III sandforce problems so I decided I don't wanna deal with the hassle. Then I was reading engadet and they had a posting on this SSD had good specs on paper and was a marvel controller once it was in stock I ordered it right away. What can I say this SSD is fast and I'm running on SATA II, don't even wanna know how it is on III. It's also stable like all marvel controller SSD. I have nothing bad to say about this product it's fast stable and comes with everything in the box to get your started.

Cons: Price but that goes with SSD territory.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had SATA III

5 out of 5 eggsNo life

Pros: Good price compared to other 128GB drives.
Worked with with Mac Mini 2011 and Macbook Pro Snow Leopard of course a this requires a Trim hack to enable support.

Cons: The same as all other SSD of price per GB
Also doesn't max out the SATA III connection. The lower capacities have hindered transfer rates. I can understand more money equals more memory. Yet why also slow down the 128GB model compared to 256GB?

Pros: 1st ssd purchase in my 2nd computer build got it for $184 :).. updated my bios on my asrock 990fx, switched to ahci and turned off ide combined functions. installed windows and downloaded firmware 1.05 from plextor site. the flash was really easy, burned the firmware on disc in my other computer put the disc in booted from cd-rom and had to hit one button for the flash in my new build.. instructions are easy to follow! ran atto bench and highest write was 334707 and read was 477218. very pleased with the performance thus far.

Cons: now i will have to spend alot more monies to get another for raid :(
