It's a downgrade from Windows 10.5/14/2022 4:30:36 PM
Pros: Can take advantage of the new architecture in 12th-gen Intel processors.
Cons: Windows 11 is a lot like Windows 10, except without all the great things that made Windows 10 great. Customizations are gone. Features and utilities for power users are gone. You can't even display taskbar tray icons by default anymore! The OS is slightly faster, but everything takes longer to do because things have been buried in too many menus. What used to be 2 click is not 4-5 clicks, and some stuff you can't even do at all anymore.
Overall Review: It feels like this OS was designed for the computer illiterate in mind. Microsoft claims to have designed it based on feedback from users, but if you look at the Feedback Hub, it's nothing but people asking for the options they had before. Microsoft clearly thinks all their users are unintelligent now, and they've made an OS that makes you work inefficiently whether you want to or not.
Pros: Installed on new build with portable DVD writer.
Had to install drivers and setup BIOS first for DVD writer to connect and load.
Installs just like Windows 10.
I regret buying this piece of literal garbage5/1/2022 12:08:46 PM
Pros: There is nothing positive about this product unless you hate yourself and your time on Earth
Cons: Absolutely everything. I'd rather run Windows 3.11 on my machine because it actually worked. Windows 11 is just some broken version of windows 10 with added bugs that cause your machine to crash at random.
Overall Review: - Do not upgrade
- Do not buy this
- Do not accept this if someone offers it to you for free

A dead end for W-101/27/2022 6:28:59 PM
Pros: Is a bonus to have a running system, before you install the OS. A few little checks and your off.
I haven't done much with it except it runs.
Busy now for family to get new systems together.
Cons: The roughness of "so called" Windows checking your system before installation of W-11.
Overall Review: This is what Windows is going to be. I have heard 10 will be supported for 3 more years. Product is still on retail shelves. I wish that the time was longer.

Hooray.11/11/2021 7:46:55 AM
Pros: You can install applications.
Cons: Extremely dumbed-down. More and more OS makers keep trying to turn your computer into a 2 dimensional phone or tablet. Microsoft continues to punish computer geeks and power users in favor of people who do not know how to use a computer. STOP idiot proofing, and give me my functionality back, and stop training to corral me into your own lousy solutions. Its MY computer, I paid for it, I should be free to use it as I wish, without advertisements, without nerfing the interface and without being locked into MS applications. This is what a Monopoly gets you...
Overall Review: Let's face it, we've been going backwards since Windows XP.... certainly since windows 7. Computers are becoming less and less flexible, thanks to restrictive Operating systems like this... it is more an more reminiscent of a mac... but with more advertising. MS and Apple are taking all the power (not to mention fun) out of the Personal Computer -- but you are stuck. If you want to run popular applications -- you HAVE to use it. Let freedom ring...
Like Windows 8 With More Hardware Control Lameness12/14/2021 3:01:09 PM
Pros: - Runs what a Windows OS should run
- Seems to run well with a lot of resources and recently made parts
Cons: - Requires recently made parts
- Requires TPM 2.0 and "Secure Boot" which vendors seem to have problems implementing right
- Requires a Microsoft login (no local users)
- Must be connected to Internet
- Weird and annoying but typical "trying to be cool" interface changes with no solid "get me to a standard Windows interface" option
Overall Review: The cons I already knew going in, but I wanted to see if there were any positives like:
- I can customize the UI to my liking
- cool things included in the home edition
- compelling OS advantage
And there were none.
The "new to Windows" things made me think of a Mac, or worse a Chromebook.
Is Microsoft trying to encourage "Linux on the desktop"?
Windows 11 says "yes".
Overall Review: I haven't used it long enough to give a complete review but it looks like everything is the same as Win 10, only in a different area of the program. Easy to get used to. Start menu in the center etc... Somewhat better file explorer with a more direct Control Panel access.
I do not see any reason to change unless it's free or new system.
Pros: it's an operating system
Cons: none
Overall Review: yes
