2 out of 5 eggsDead slow

Pros: It has a cap and it hasn't failed yet.

Cons: It is dead slow. I have never seen it write at more than 8Mb/sec.

Other Thoughts: Defeats the purpose of upgrading to a usb3 enabled rig - not even as fast as my old usb 2 stick.

1 out of 5 eggsProduct can't be trusted

Pros: OK, when it was working

Cons: Bought one in July 2013 for use with a Mac and another in Sept. 2013 for use with Win 7. In Jan. 2014 the first failed and in April the 2d. In both cases, the main directory was open, and then the folder / drive icon disappeared. The drives are seen and can be ejected, but the OS reports no file system present.

Other Thoughts: I'll go back to Corsair USB sticks

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its a large capacity fast USB 3 drive that works with no problems. I have both an 8 gig and a 32 gig and neither has given me any trouble. I use it to install Windows 7 on library computers. Plug it in and boot up into the Windows Install right from the USB drive. It has room for all the other programs that I install with it. It has cut the install time by half. that of a DVD.

Cons: The 8 gig and the 32 Gig are the same color. You have to look close to tell them apart. And there is no place to attach a lanyard, that would be a nice thing to have.

Other Thoughts: I have a box full of pen drives. None of them are bad, just smaller capacities. I can combine the data from all of them on to a single 32 gig drive.

I do worry about loosing it. That is a lot of data to replace if I leave it behind somewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsTeam C123 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TC123332GW01

Pros: the price for this 32 Gb size of usb drive. Its faster than my USb 2.0 drive even on my usb 2.0 motherboard. I Ran crystal disk 30.85 MBs seq read/13.41 Mbs write. which is a lot faster than my kingston 16Gb usb 2 drive !! Works with my visio tv even though it says it cant read anything above 16 Gb drive.

Cons: its on sale $4 cheaper than when i bought mine 2 wks and 2 days ago, 3/18/14 :( hey $4 is four dollars !

Not sure if its a con, but when its plugged into my TV, when its turned off, I notice the led activity light would randomly flash? idk how because the tv was off. .. ? so i dont leave it plugged in any more to be safe.

Other Thoughts: I bought this even though their are a lot of bad reviews. I know Team is a great company and i dont believe they made and sold so many bad drives. I think its user error causing the drive to fail, if it really is.

A few things that might save you headaches and your drive. Dont leave it plugged in when not in use. When removing make sure you click the icon to "safely remove usb drive" every time! And never remove it when its reading or writing!! which isnt hard to figure out with this drive because it has an LED activity light.

Ive filled mine and cleared it 12-15x plus done a lot of testing and its working great. Used it on multiple computers and no problems even transferring 28 Gb at once. As 28 GB is what this drive is after its formatted, or when it arrives to you already formatted. I would recommend this to anyone .

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive for the money

Pros: I had to write a review after seeing the comments. I have used this drive for a full 7 days doing pen testing against networks with linux installed on it. I ran over 600 million passwords in aircrack-ng pentesting before i even rebooted which took about 6 days on the laptop i was using. The write speed isn't bad, it's about normal for a medium tier usb 3.0 drive.

Also, 90% of the time when you non-techs think that a flash drive is broke and won't format is because you messed up the filesystem when it was trying to write to the flash drive, IE: not clicking safely remove hardware or unmounting before removing the drive. I wanted to give you guys a real review from my point of view. The only thing i don't like about it is the colors but for this price who can really complain. I will say this, I have a corsair survivor series that i pay 60 dollars for and it's no faster than this drive.

Cons: The colors.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind while reading negative reviews about things because not all people are techies.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Died after 2 uses.

Other Thoughts: I didn't expect a lot from this usb stick, but I also didn't expect it to die after using it twice. Plugged it in to put some files on and got a 'Windows needs to format this drive first before it can be used' error. Cannot even format the drive, windows eventually gives an error, and the drive LED blinks until it is pulled from the USB port.

I will never buy anything by this brand again.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not rely on this for anything critical

Pros: Cost to Memory ratio

Cons: Unreliable - Received the messages asking to reformat the device, without actually able to reformat. Used the device several times before the above issue occurred and lost all of the contents on the drive.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately the reformat issue occurred after New Egg return window ended and did not bother with manufacturer return since the company is in Taiwan. I was able to get the drive back to a usable state with the restore application from the manufacturer's web site, however i'm not going to hold my breath for a permanent solution since this issue seems to be a common trend with others' reviews. Keep in mind this does reformat(erase) everything on the drive.
