2 out of 5 eggsworked for about a year

Pros: worked for about a year, and was faster than any USB 2 drive I own, while it worked.

It was Cheap!

Cons: after about a year, started getting a "write protected" error message. Can't be 100% positive this was the "team" usb drive's fault, possible there was some other cause... but the drive became useless after it started getting that error. Tried a number of things to remove that error, nothing worked (maybe it got a virus?) Obvious question and answer: no, there is no write-protect tab; this drive just plays a write-protected drive your life.

Other Thoughts: Seriously; buying a USB drive is not like buying a fine timepiece; you will not hand this USB drive down to your grand-kids one day; thumb drives get lost/crushed/borrowed-and-not-returned all the time, they are disposable, and what seems huge and fast today will be less so in a few years. So, there is some wisdom in buying cheap USB drives, even if they break after a while. You will never use this again after USB 4 comes out. That being said; it will still cost me some $$$ to buy another; money I really didn't want to spend.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The data transfer, while it worked, were good - 15 mb/sec

Cons: Stopped to work after 1 week. Drive became "read only" I tried diskpart to fix it, but finally I get I/O error.
Tried Mac tools, same problem, I/O error while creating partition. Clearly disk is bad.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat, but stopped working after a few months.

Pros: Works fast in USB 3.0 port of course.

Cons: Stopped working after a few months of use.

Other Thoughts: Won't go to Team because I've already seen others' reviews about a $20 shipment fee to Taiwan. NOT worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsWaterproof!

Pros: Pretty fast
Went through the laundry and still works great!

Cons: Not free

Other Thoughts: I have had memory sticks go in the wash, and not survive, so this gets 5 stars for survival!

2 out of 5 eggsBought two One already failed

Pros: Pretty package
Pretty device

Cons: It's a flash drive, binary, works, or not.

Within the first 30 days the drive is no longer addressable.

I just opened the second one and I hope it does better.

Other Thoughts: I have had previous success with TeamG products but this simple device failure has me thinking I may try to find some other brand in the future.

RMA Shipping should be paid by the manufacturer, since I am now their Quality Control Dept. Through Newegg's shipping deal it was still almost $10 to ship this tiny flash drive. I've lost enough and don't care to follow good money with bad. No guarantee any future TeamG product sent as a replacement will not fail right away. At $10 just for shipping, I'll look further at Newegg.

1 out of 5 eggsDEAD

Pros: The transfer speed was fast when it was working.

Cons: Dead less than 3 months from purchase.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand how a company like newegg who sells computer parts has only a 30 day return/refund policy. If an item I buy from them is dead within 3 months I should be allowed to return it to them. Their outdated policy does not match the product they sell.

2 out of 5 eggsDead slow

Pros: It has a cap and it hasn't failed yet.

Cons: It is dead slow. I have never seen it write at more than 8Mb/sec.

Other Thoughts: Defeats the purpose of upgrading to a usb3 enabled rig - not even as fast as my old usb 2 stick.

1 out of 5 eggsProduct can't be trusted

Pros: OK, when it was working

Cons: Bought one in July 2013 for use with a Mac and another in Sept. 2013 for use with Win 7. In Jan. 2014 the first failed and in April the 2d. In both cases, the main directory was open, and then the folder / drive icon disappeared. The drives are seen and can be ejected, but the OS reports no file system present.

Other Thoughts: I'll go back to Corsair USB sticks

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its a large capacity fast USB 3 drive that works with no problems. I have both an 8 gig and a 32 gig and neither has given me any trouble. I use it to install Windows 7 on library computers. Plug it in and boot up into the Windows Install right from the USB drive. It has room for all the other programs that I install with it. It has cut the install time by half. that of a DVD.

Cons: The 8 gig and the 32 Gig are the same color. You have to look close to tell them apart. And there is no place to attach a lanyard, that would be a nice thing to have.

Other Thoughts: I have a box full of pen drives. None of them are bad, just smaller capacities. I can combine the data from all of them on to a single 32 gig drive.

I do worry about loosing it. That is a lot of data to replace if I leave it behind somewhere.
