5 out of 5 eggsEasy transfer from Nikon

Pros: Easy windows set up, Great categorization my date. Handles RAW and JPEG format easily. Can get it to work with digikam easily. Overall excellent product. The computer the server is on is always on so typically we are editing photos by the time get out of the car and sit down.

Cons: This won't affect most people but there is no out of the box linux support. However the community provides scripts if you have a little technical knowledge.

3 out of 5 eggsSometimes Yay Sometimes Eh

Pros: 1- Works good once you get it working, and it takes a good moment of tinkering to get it working. It's also cool to be out in the field and people can preview your images on your tablet or smart phone that's synched with this device. You can send them the image with your phone too.
2- Works with different cameras so you don't have to buy a wireless tether specific for each camera you use.
3- The extra 8GB storage compared to their non-pro cards is great to have.
4- Can auto delete files that have automatically transfered to a device to emulate "endless storage" and not lose a beat while photographing things... personally, I decided to turn that feature off to provide redundancy protection by leaving a copy on the card as well.

Cons: 1- This drains your camera's battery very fast. Even when there's no device synched to this card, the card will turn on direct connect mode and still drain your batteries. Sometimes it will even prevent your camera's energy saving modes from initiating. I've left my camera on thinking it will turn itself off, and when I come back the next morning, the batteries are completely drained. When it is connected to a synched device and transferring, it drains it even faster. My work around has been carrying around plenty of spare batteries, or turning the eye-fi off.
2- It takes a good white to get it working, so if you're traveling and constantly switching wi-fi routers, computers, tablets, etc. you have to get it working each time you change your situation, which can be a pain if people are waiting for you to get ready. There is no "set it and forget it" with this device.
3- takes awhile to transfer RAW files because they are bigger. I did not even bother trying to do video files because of how long RAW files took. On a job where I was using it to just preview images with a client, I tried to set a work around to transfer only JPEGs (which is typically fast on the other wifi cards), but still haven't gotten it to work.

Other Thoughts: New cameras are coming out with wireless transfer technology, so if you think you'll be buying a new camera within a year or later, you're probably better off buying a new camera with that technology instead. This card could serve as a decent backup if the camera wi-fi fails.
If you have an older digital SD-card camera and have a tablet/phone that has a RAW image editor without an SD card, this is a good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy set up, works perfect.!!!

Pros: I don't know why so many people complain about this being hard to setup, or hard to use. I had it installed and transferring pictures in about 2 minutes with my Sony RX100. Pics wirelessly go to my iPhone 5 in about 3 to 5 seconds, that's at 20 megapixel. Great product, thank you eye-fi.!

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsPass

Pros: Geotagging

Cons: Card will lock up while shooting, and anything which hasn't been transfered yet is lost.

Transfers take about 30 seconds per image, so the 100 pics you just took that day at Disney will take almost an hour to transfer. Camera has to be on to transfer so battery takes a hit. For that effort, it makes more sense not to use the wireless feature for 2 or more shots.

System needed constant attention. "Did this one finish?" "Can I turn the camera off now?" Not worth the headache.

If you happen to mark an image for Facebook (etc.) after the image has been backed up to your computer, it will not be uploaded to Facebook.

Other Thoughts: This card takes a significant amount of power for the WiFi feature. The SD adapter which came with the product could not handle the load so I had to use an Eye-Fi capable camcorder attached as R/W to my computer in order to change certain settings.
