Works!
- Pros: Plugged it in to PSU, plugged it in to MoBo, everything worked as expected. Bought this for certain flashing applications, and it's done what I wanted it to.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Where do you get 3.5" floppy disk media these days? I couldn't find it on NewEgg, I ended up finding an old one around the house.... Apparently very little demand for these anymore (considering some of the obscure electronics stuff sold on New Egg, I expected to be able to find the floppy disks, maybe I didn't look in the right place?)
Good Drivd Great Price
- Pros: Works like a floppy drive, looks pro.
Those folks having problem with the drive, check out my other thoughts below.
- Cons: No instruction manual.
- Other Thoughts: Apparently, the Data Ribbon connection on the drive has a key notch on top and bottom. I chose to insert the data cable with key side on top. PC recognized Drive, but not the disk, and the green light remained on.
I reversed the cable to insert with the key side down, and it worked like a charm. read/writes perfectly.
Good Little Drive
- Pros: A little quieter than the old floppy, reliable on every disk I've used with it so far. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Good price.
- Cons: None, can't complain one bit.
