Eight macro keys on the side levels up your slaying skill with one-key activation of complicated key press sequences. You can create up to three profiles: a total of 24 macros for different game categories, while the onboard memory prevents command blocks. Six hotkeys put the media control at your fingertips. Pretty decent, until it starts spazing out.
This review is from: Genius 31310058101 Manticore Keyboard
Pros: Its a mechanical keyboard, with cool lighting options. The program used to change the LED lights is simple enough, and has 3 profiles you switch between to change whatever color configurations, as well as whatever shortcuts you made on the side G buttons. The top media buttons as intended, and its a pretty decent keyboard, works well during gaming, its comfortable, and love that it has LED lights. And having extra USB ports is a plus. BUT it does have one major flaw, a defect that, after about ~5 months after buying it started to grow into a huge problem.
Cons: The biggest problem I've encountered with this keyboard is it's tendency to spaz out randomly during use. One minute everything is fine and dandy, keyboard works as it should, when all of a sudden it starts to spaz out with the LED lights blinking for a few seconds. My PC makes that sound when a USB is unplugged, which is weird since I know the USB is plugged in neatly no problem. After this little seizure, the keyboard becomes unusable, pretty much a brick. it would last for a few seconds to a few minutes, until it spazes out, LED lights blinking, the USB sound from the computer comes on, and the keyboard is back to normal. Its the weirdest thing. This started happening about ~5 months of constant usage, but before this, it was just a problem with the MR option. In the beginning I didnt know what MR means, so I never touched nor use it. But there were a few times where the MR button was randomly turned on, leaving the keyboards useless. After pressing it to turn it off the problem went away and was responsive again, but this kept happening. This problem started about a week after getting the keyboard, and I am not sure if its related to its current spazing out problem. I tried plugging it in different USB ports, uninstalling and installing the driver, tried updating but nothing really worked, and if anything it made things worse. Its now almost a year since I bought it, and I regret getting this keyboard. I thought the problem would fix itself after a while but it didnt. Thought I could fix the problem, but no dice. My PC is brand new, freshly built, so I have no idea what the problem is. I'm sadly disappointed in it, as it is a very decent keyboard, and if it werent for the problems plaguing it, I would've rate it a 4.
Other Thoughts: Overall its a decent keyboard, but not worth the price for it. It has good features, with great customizations, but alas the spaztic issues I'm facing make this a terrible purchase. Beware and buy at your own risk.
