Meticulously designed and engineered for professional gamers, the Genius Manticore Keyboard delivers everything you need to conquer, or frag, your foes. You'll be impressed with the mechanical feel and touch that give you superb feedback and tactile response. Hold a tactical advantage with twenty anti-ghost keys and backlight illumination design. A full-color, sixteen million RGB backlight palette lets you set your favorite color within the three cluster areas, as well as adjust the brightness using four different levels. Eight macro keys on the side levels up your slaying skill with one-key activation of complicated key press sequences. You can create up to three profiles:  a total of 24 macros for different game categories, while the onboard memory prevents command blocks. Six hotkeys put the media control at your fingertips. Other features include anti-skid rubber pads, two built-in USB ports for quick connection to peripherals, a gold-plated USB connector, and smart cable allocation design, making the Manticore the weapon of choice that every gamer wants.

  • newegg Full-Color Backlight with Four Brightness Levels Unlike traditional blue or green backlights, the full-color sixteen million RGB backlight not only illuminates the key for error-free operation in dark environments, but also adds a layer of brilliance and more eye-catching fun. You can set different backlight colors in different key areas for quick identification. Four levels of brightness – including low/middle/high/off – offer flexible options to match your situation.
  • newegg Eight Macro Keys By increasing the amount of easy-to-reach commands with eight macro keys on the side, to assign up to twenty-four macros, you avoid any distractions when switching to Gaming Mode. The 32KB onboard memory allows easy storage and quick recall of the macros. In addition, the tactile design is perfect to use during the game for blind typing.
  • newegg Master Record Key You can record macros directly through the master record button and assign them to any G- key without launching the user interface. The Scorpion user interface includes three game profiles for different game categories, with the ability to instantly switch between them using the keyboard itself.
  • newegg Twenty Anti-Ghost Keys and Six Media Keys The twenty anti-ghost keys can be pressed at the same time without any "ghosting" effect. Six media control keys are conveniently placed for easy access.
  • newegg Two USB Ports With two additional USB ports located behind the keyboard, you can add extra USB peripherals – like a headphone, mouse, or speakers – to be fully immersed during gameplay.
  • newegg Smart Cable Allocation The smart cable allocation underneath the keyboard banishes unsightly cable clutter from your desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect! and i get to choose 3 color profiles with millions

Pros: owned this for a year now.. i just decided to update FIRMWARE.
oh if you CANT follow instructions then LEAVE firmware ALONE or GET HELP. or you'll be pulling hair and looking for your backup keyboard to use till you figure out how to fix what you fouled up.. lol

THIS KEYBOARD IS GREAT FOR 80 BUCKS MAN I LOVE IT.
I have no issues at all Windows 7 64 ultimate
ASUS motherboard
WD drives
GSKILL DDR3
I have no clue what the other person is crying about?
I bought mine on Am-z-n but should have bought NEWEGG to save on shipping and TAX.
I have bought a ton of parts form NEWEGG. i guess at the time i wanted this Manticore it wasn't available here or i would have bought it HERE.
Also there is a WINLOCK key setting for each of your three color profiles ON or OFF on that setting...great BOARD no problems a year later still working very well

Cons: none no cons at all. for 80 bucks all this colors and options please? please..... ok maybe the cap lock key is a tad close but i have trained my left pinky finger to no longer run up on it...and you know right away as there is a beep..so glad cap locks key not silent when accidentally hit.. all in all GREAT illuminated KB! macros settings its really near perfect

Other Thoughts: I am using a color RGB site. to get the color numbers to load any shade or color or shade of colors into the 3 PROFILES offered on this KB into . Colors are RICH and BRIGHT WHEN NOT PUT directly under a LED BRIGHT SCREEN duh? .. still BRIGHT but brighter not to close to a white LED bright screen.. you get my drift i am sure...gaming NO ISSUES AT ALL. GLAD GLAD I BOUGHT THIS ONE!

Tons of fun fine tuning the colors on this Manticore. LOOK if you cant follow instructions and you think its going to think for you? buy some Logitech ( key lettering is too small ) or Microsoft (keys are too small , lettering that is) this thing is cool for 80 bucks COME ON! No brainer! Look if you want mechanical keys with not many color options, than go pay the price for some other KB. happy with mine. still don;t understand what the other reviewers problem is?

2 out of 5 eggsPretty decent, until it starts spazing out.

Pros: Its a mechanical keyboard, with cool lighting options. The program used to change the LED lights is simple enough, and has 3 profiles you switch between to change whatever color configurations, as well as whatever shortcuts you made on the side G buttons. The top media buttons as intended, and its a pretty decent keyboard, works well during gaming, its comfortable, and love that it has LED lights. And having extra USB ports is a plus. BUT it does have one major flaw, a defect that, after about ~5 months after buying it started to grow into a huge problem.

Cons: The biggest problem I've encountered with this keyboard is it's tendency to spaz out randomly during use. One minute everything is fine and dandy, keyboard works as it should, when all of a sudden it starts to spaz out with the LED lights blinking for a few seconds. My PC makes that sound when a USB is unplugged, which is weird since I know the USB is plugged in neatly no problem. After this little seizure, the keyboard becomes unusable, pretty much a brick. it would last for a few seconds to a few minutes, until it spazes out, LED lights blinking, the USB sound from the computer comes on, and the keyboard is back to normal. Its the weirdest thing. This started happening about ~5 months of constant usage, but before this, it was just a problem with the MR option. In the beginning I didnt know what MR means, so I never touched nor use it. But there were a few times where the MR button was randomly turned on, leaving the keyboards useless. After pressing it to turn it off the problem went away and was responsive again, but this kept happening. This problem started about a week after getting the keyboard, and I am not sure if its related to its current spazing out problem. I tried plugging it in different USB ports, uninstalling and installing the driver, tried updating but nothing really worked, and if anything it made things worse. Its now almost a year since I bought it, and I regret getting this keyboard. I thought the problem would fix itself after a while but it didnt. Thought I could fix the problem, but no dice. My PC is brand new, freshly built, so I have no idea what the problem is. I'm sadly disappointed in it, as it is a very decent keyboard, and if it werent for the problems plaguing it, I would've rate it a 4.

Other Thoughts: Overall its a decent keyboard, but not worth the price for it. It has good features, with great customizations, but alas the spaztic issues I'm facing make this a terrible purchase. Beware and buy at your own risk.
