5 out of 5 eggsDecent Setup

Pros: I work as a Network tech supporting about 100 users. I have bought several of these and have not had a problem with it yet.

Cons: I'm not too fond of the hub, but its cheap works.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent, cheap wireless keyboard...

Pros: Cheap. No stupid things like F-lock or weird key placements. Full-sized backspace key. Common application and media buttons above the F keys. Lightweight, nice-looking keyboard and mouse. Standard MS receiver unit, not another USB stick I'll snap off on accident.

Cons: Range is SHORT. I use the keyboard from about 2 feet away, in direct line-of-sight, and I have to move the receiver around sometimes to get it to not lose a keystroke here and there (other users say 30", which may be more accurate.) Bought 2 of these, and despite the short range, my fiancée and I cannot type at the same time, 6 feet from each other due to interference. It sounds silly, but my (working) solution to the interference with 2 of these keyboards is some aluminum foil shaped around the receivers.
There is no MS software or drivers for these, they are plug & play only. Sounded good until I realized play/pause doesn't work on iTunes without having iTunes currently focused. Normally, software like intellitype or logitech's setpoint will forward media keys to a background app like iTunes/WMP/etc.
No RF channel selection or encryption.

Other Thoughts: We are only using the keyboards out of this bundle as we already have the ultimate wireless mouse, the Logitech G7.
The interference is a large part of my overall rating, since I didn't expect a lot of range or features on a $20 bundle. I just want a keyboard that will change volume, pause, play, and skip songs. Though this keyboard has 10 media and app buttons, there is no skip/rewind button. I didn't realize this when ordering, but it's clearly visible in the pics what buttons are there.
I will probably switch to a couple of cheap Logitech keyboards instead of dealing with the interference, short range, and lack of skip/previous song buttons.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Keyboard & Mouse

Pros: The keyboard keys have a good feel, not soft at all. The mouse has a nice design also. It's M$ so it works pretty well.

Cons: The only con about this set is that the mouse keeps losing connection and turning off. I have tried replacing the batt's and still the same. It's a little bit of a hassle to have to resink the mouse every day, but it does work well.

2 out of 5 eggsMouse Is Unreliable

Pros: The keyboard works fine. The mouse was great too for the first two weeks.

Cons: After two weeks to the day, the mouse stopped responding. I hit the reconnect button and it started working for about 30 minutes. SInce then, I've had to reconnect every 30 minutes when the mouse stops working.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent KB/Mouse set

Pros: Keyboard and mouse work very well.

Cons: Range is short enough that the receiver has to be on the desk top. Activity light cannot be deactivated. Mouse chews through batteries.

Other Thoughts: Excellent for left hand mouse use.

3 out of 5 eggsDouble Click

Pros: Inexpensive.

Cons: The mouse randomly double-clicks. And one doesn't realize how annoying this can be...

3 out of 5 eggsNo Sleep!!

Pros: Inexpensive basic keyboard and mouse.

Cons: Mouse took a few iterations to connect and there are no sleep and log off functions.

We were specifically looking for a wireless keyboard with the sleep function and the description clearly states "...buttons that give you one-touch access to commonly-used applications, and Sleep and Log Off functions."

They were wrong....

Other Thoughts: The keyboard and mouse work fairly well, so we're debating whether or not to return it.

5 out of 5 eggsbasic wireless

Pros: Inexpensive! Great wireless keyboard / mouse for a very basic setup. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Cons: Setup was a little quirky, don't know why but took a little while for the keyboard to work. Mouse shuts off to save the batteries WAY to often, but a simple mouse click "wakes" it up.

Other Thoughts: I put this combo on my server and has worked perfectly! Not as advanced as anything else out there, but for a server its perfect. Gave it 5 eggs, even though something with more functions would score just as high. But if you don't need anything special this would be good for you.
